Hello,

I was wondering does anyone else have a longer regular cycle? Last month for me was 35 days and this month I'm on day 37 and still nothing - did a test - nada! And is it any harder to fall pregnant with the longer cycle? I'm only 3 months into trying for dc2 but already getting the panic on. 35 later this year and all...

Many thanks

my cycle is about 35 days - no problem getting pregnant round here, but we've been very lucky.

the problem mostly arises because midwives don't understand anyone who isn't a standard 28 days, so they keep denying my EDD is correct!

I had a ridiculously long cycle, was never regular but something like 35, 34, 37, 35 etc. Didn't have any problems conceiving (was on the pill for years until about 2 months before ttc).

Okay, that's good to hear. Thanks. We'll have to keep at it then. It's just all the waiting that is making me go slightly crazy..

My cycles vary from 30-40 days too - have you looked at Fertility Friend? You can track your symptoms and temps to help you pinpoint when you ovulate during your cycle to maximise your chances of success!

I had a quick glance at a few fertility calenders online and loosely followed ovulation predicitions. I think I might take a look at the fertility friend and follow it a bit closer.

rislip - ff has really helped me. It's amazing how many signes of ovulation there are once you start to keep track of them. I stuck wih the basic membership btw rather than paying too

Good luck

I used those ovulation sticks and they worked first time - worth a go, as I found I was ovulating much later than I expected.
