Very long cycles - advice

Hi ladies - I hope everyone is staying safe and well in lockdown. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. I came off the pill in March this year and have found my cycles have been very long and irregular since - from 32 days to 73 days. I’ve had blood tests for PCOS but all have come back normal, I’m awaiting an ultrasound on the 26th. Has anyone else had similar? What else can cause such long and irregular cycles? Thanks in advance for any words of advice!

@CoffeeNoMilk hmm you sound like me! I came off the pill in March too and so far my cycles have been 30-55 days. I just ovulated afew days ago on CD30, so super late. I also went for bloods to check for PCOS and came back normal, apart from my TSH is a little outside of the optimum range for TTC. Did you get a copy of your blood test results? I've been waiting for a referral for a scan for about 2 months now and haven't heard anything yet 😕 What's your LP like? Mine is short at 8/9 days, which is gutting after waiting a month to ovulate 😢 Xx

@MintGreenLife I didn’t ask for a copy of my bloods, they just said they all reported within the normal range - perhaps I’ll ask for a copy? I’m not entirely sure on LP I feel like it’s very varied, but today I’m on CD 31 and feel like I’m ovulating now so I’m really unsure! I guess I was lucky that they referred me for scans at the same time as blood tests so I’m glad I have that in a couple of weeks for hopefully more info. I just feel like all I’m seeing right now is pregnancy and birth announcements and it’s getting me down! To think of all those years spent trying so hard to avoid pregnancy. Who’d have thought it would be so difficult!

I got the implant out in August and cycles all over the place. I am doing the sperms meets egg plan this cycle, basically guarantees that if you ovulate, you will did in your fertile window

@Pollyell sorry to hear you are also struggling. We are DTD at least 3 times a week throughout as my cycles are so confusing right now but still no luck

@CoffeeNoMilk do you do OPKs or chart BBT? I do both so know I am actually ovulating, it just takes a lot of effort with long and unpredictable cycles. We DTD every other day and then a few days in a row over O. I totally know what you mean, feels like everyone is pregnant at the mo. My SIL started trying at the same time as us and announced she's 12 weeks gone recently x

I came off mini pill in May this year and found my cycles to be long ever since. The first cycle 54 days, second 48, third 42 so I noticed a trend of 6 days shorter each time. Currently on CD34, got peak ovulation using clearblue OPK on CD27 which are very good but wish I could figure out my long cycles! I was on combined pill for many years before the minipill for about 2 years so guess its going to take time for my body to figure things out!
