Really confused!

So I posted the other day about my tests.
I had 3 very faint tests on Monday! 1 negative which was digital. Then 2 faint tests on Tuesday. I spoke to the doctors as the ones of Tuesday seemed a bit lighter, doctor said to have 5 tests with lines you must be pregnant but for them to fade I know must be scary and told me to take a sample in today which she will send to the lab and hopefully get results tomorrow. While getting the sample this morning I took another test, the line took about 5 minutes to appear and was the faintest so far! You could barely see it and thought okay maybe I have had a chemical pregnancy. Whilst shopping I came across the first response tests and thought just one more time! I took a test this afternoon and the test has come out clear as day! Still not a strong positive but the darkest it’s been! I don’t want to get my hopes up to then be crushed! We gave up trying about 2 months ago because it just wasn’t happening, we only had sex once last month and I think I’m just doubting that it could happen now!

@Gemmmxx if the FRER (first response) showed positive then you are pregnant, it could just be that your hcg level is low at the moment, try again with another FRER in a couple of days time, the line should be darker. Or you may get confirmation tomorrow 🙂

Also @Gemmmxx you can only compare line strength on the exact same type of test.

FRERs are by far the most sensitive, with a super low threshold

Digitals have a really high threshold and often say negative early on

I know I need to stop testing😭 but I test this morning with another FRER and the lines lighter this morning.. is this a bad sign?

@Gemmmxx unfortunately it's not a good sign if the line is getting lighter, it could mean a chemical pregnancy ☹️. How many DPO are you? If could be that it's still quite early and the line may get darker in a couple more days.

I’m not sure how many DPO, I only came off my contraceptive in July so my system is all over the place, my period started on the 30th august, so I just went off it starting around that time this time. But that’s just guess work, I really couldn’t tell you dates etc as we weren’t actually trying yet as I wanted to give my body time to recover from contraception, hence why we only had sex once last month🤷🏻‍♀️ It just seems impossible, it seems to easy, as I had to try for ages on my first 3 pregnancies and the first 2 ended in miscarriage😔xx
