Clear blue early pregnancy test concern!!

Hi all, I am on many threads but want to start this one up for anyone that’s just tested with clear blue early or has historically.
I am 7/8 dpo and been getting super faint lines on this brand since 5 dpo. (Technically not supposed to tear until 5 days before af) Wednesday for me.
However I want to share my results as I am totally baffled esp the latest one!!
I have heard so many BAD things about this brands and also test positive with it last month but my af came so either false pos or cp. please take a look maybe let me know your experiences of these. Today’s test shows a darker thin line. After 2 hours. My other cab tests don’t at all.
What do we all think. These tests are 4 different tests now all same brand. Would love to hear your experiences as I’m going insane!!

If it's after two hours, it isn't a positive result. For it to be a positive result, it has to show within the specified time limit (usually ten minutes). You're not supposed to look at them after that, because it can give a false positive.

The first two were within time limit immediately showed up didn’t need to squint. My other cb have not got darker?

You've made 4/5 threads about this now. None of us can tell you. Follow the advice to buy a frer or wait until you're due on. At 7/8 dpo you might not even have implanted info here which would mean no hcg is produced yet.

I don't see anything on the first two, OP.

Hi, if you took the time to read I am just asking for anyone that has had an experience of these to comment should they wish?
I have made one thread about this FYI. Another was relating to 6 dpo test. Why comment if you are going to have a disrespectful tone?!
Many ladies have had bad experiences with cb so I just wanted to share mine. Thought we were all here to support each other.
I always test when I get strong symptoms and after 11 pregnancies I can confirm they start at implantation which is always 6 dpo for me.
Have a nice day.

Hi OP,

The first two you have said come up within the time limit however these don't look positive too me, I can't see any line. The second you can see a line however as not within the time limit cannot count this either.

I had a good experience with these tests and took on day AF was due and got a strong line instantly. I had faint lines on cheapie tests in the days before.

I'd wait a few more days and try again with a few different brands. Fingers crossed you get your BFP Smile

I understand wanting to know but honestly I think you are best waiting until the day your period is due and testing with a first response :)
Good luck

I can see faint lines so hopefully it's the start of your bfp and sticks. When I've had negatives using this particular test have had no hint of an evaporation so good luck

Honestly I've had SO many evaps from this test it's not even funny. I've had some that came up in the time, and others that I noticed later. By the time I actually fell pregnant I'd long since given up on these bastard tests so can't comment on what an actual positive looks like. I can tell you that in my humble opinion, I wouldn't trust any of those tests. The ones that came within the time frame don't have a line, and if you were actually pregnant and one test came up with a line, EVERY test would show a line. In both my pregnancies, when I was actually pregnant, every test showed a line. When I wasn't actually pregnant and it was a false positive, only these dodgy tests showed a line and more reliable tests (ICs and FRER) showed no lines.

If you take a test and it shows a line, if you're pregnant, every test will show a line. Not just one. I know how desperate it can feel to just want to see that BFP but you're driving yourself wishing for a line that just isn't there. Put the CB down, nothing good can come from continuing to test on them.

Wishing you the best of luck in your TTC journey

These tests are notoriously shit, which is why I advised a) using a frer & b) waiting until closer to your expected period, to try & stop you driving yourself mad over evaps/is it a line or isn't it scenarios.

Hi OP - I can't see positive lines on the first two, I'm sorry. I can see positives on the final two but as others have said, if they were out of the time limit when they appeared, you can't count them as a definite positive. Can you get hold of a FRER and test with that in a day or so? Fingers crossed for your BFP!

I’ve had the same issues OP but I think for me the line might actually have been right. I took one of these and then a FR a couple of hours later here are the two

In fairness the lighting is quite dark on that pic just hard without daylight. With FR being more sensitive I’d say go with that TBH. X

In fairness at 8dpo it could well change to a BFP. Depends when implantation happened x

Littlebee1990 · 05/10/2020 21:09

It’s too early, put the tests down until 11DPO and use a pink test.. if a test is giving you a line at 5DPO then it’s dodgy as you wouldn’t have even probably implanted by then x

Report
Pumpertrumper · 05/10/2020 21:12

@Littlebee1990 I’m between 7-8 dpo and have a reasonable positive. I think the issue with these super sensitive tests isn’t them being wrong it’s whether it sticks around and continues to multiply.

A lot of CP’s are picked up whereas without FR tests women would never have known

I hope you get the answer you want. Just be careful of getting your hopes up with tests.
Mine always had lines, frer and cb, but never pregnant. This was confirmed by blood tests at the gp. Bloody tests
