I’m 39 and have 2 DC aged 4 and nearly 2. Up until March this year I was fit and healthy and we planned to start ttc DC3 in September. Then COVID struck. I was bed bound for 3 weeks and off work for 2 months. Phased return and back to full time this month. I’m mostly recovered now but still have periods of breathlessness and not fully regained my energy levels.
I’m now in a quandary over whether to follow my heart/uterus and start ttc on the grounds that I’m pretty much recovered and I’ll be 40 in a few months so I’m running out of time (my mum went through menopause in her early 40s). Or follow my head and wait until I’m 100% recovered even if that means it might be too late fertility wise?
DH has said he would love to have another DC but would be happy with the 2 we’ve got (they’re very nice, although I am biased!). I know I should be grateful for what I have (and I really am) but I would really love to have DC3. Please help me get some perspective!
