Solid smiley on CB but negative on IC?

Has anyone had a solid smiley but negative on an IC? Normally my IC is positive the same time as my clear blue digital. But they are complete opposite now. I have been doing IC and CB together for the last week and IC was getting a little darker last week but not enough to be positive. But now it is white and very much blank! But solid smiley has appeared on CB. CONFUSED MUCH???

Hi! I never got anything on my IC but got a solid smiley on my CB. I like to think the CB is more accurate as it’s reading two hormones but I may be wrong. Do you have any other ovulation signs? If you can DTD I’d do it today and tomorrow to just be on the safe side Smile

@tizzybelle thank you! I would hope it is more accurate too considering it is more expensive and detects 2 hormones. Hopefully that is it. DTD this morning and will tomorrow morning as well and hopefully have caught it. Opks are a head melter aren't they!

I had exactly this. Solid smiley at CD10 and nothing on an IC then positive on an IC at CD16. The IC was right and the CB was wrong. I am 100% sure of this as i also track my BBT and, more importantly, I fell pregnant that month and now have a baby 😅

As an aside, I got another solid smiley when I tested on the CB at CD16 but if I had trusted CB then I wouldn't have had my baby! Keep testing with the ICs and don't trust to the fact that you've already ovulated this month.

This is interesting @Bleepers thanks for sharing. I’ve stopped using the ICs this month and we’re just DTD every other day to make sure our chances are good. I might keep up with ICs next month to see how it works....

@Bleepers okay this is interesting thanks for sharing. I will keep testing on the IC. What is interesting is that my IC was at its darkest on CD10 7 days ago but that was only when I first did my CB as I always start on CD10 so it was blank (always blank first day isn't it). However that might have been my peak and I ovulated super early. Annoying if that is the case as I didn't DTD till CD13 as that was the first flashing smiley day. I'll still keep testing on IC to see if it darkens over the next few days. I'm beginning to see why doctors don't recommend OPKs now. It is probably just best to DTD every other day after AF ends!

@bleepers here are my IC's with CD10 at the top. (Some days I tested twice)

Solid smiley on CB but negative on IC?

@CAG14 I dont think any of those are dark enough to be positive. I got really stressed out about TTC and the only way to be sure you're ovulating is to track BBT.

I tracked BBT and used OPKs to confirm which I found worked well for me.

Some good advice I got from a doctor friend was to work out the earliest and latest you might ovulate and have sex every other day for the 10 days before the earliest and after the latest.

@Bleepers thanks for the advice. I tested on an IC yesterday afternoon and was slightly darker and got a positive on my IC this morning so it was about 12-24 hours after my CB so I'm glad I carried on testing with the IC.
