Hi

It's been a long time since I was pregnant so any help /advice gratefully received.

Warning TMI to follow

I had sex on day 11
Assumed ovulation day 14
Slight spotting day 15
Felt ovulation pain in side day 16
Had twinges very slight period type pains days 19, 20, 21 and 22.
Little spotting day 27 light orange in colour, slightly more 28. Only on paper when I wipe, very pale pink and watery.
Have felt hot with flushes, pimples and hip ache since day 21.
Itchy boobs day 22
Shooting pain in both vagina and anus day 27 and 28.

Cycle for last 6 months anything from 21 to 25 days.

Pregnant or just peri-menopause?!
Many thanks

Just saying hi and bumping the post. Symptom spotting will drive you mad, don't do it (she says, symptom spotting herself) Wink Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Are all those symptoms very different to normal OP? If they are all new to this cycle, it could be a positive sign. Some women get spotting with implantation. Hot flushes too can be an early pregnancy sign. I hope you get the outcome you are hoping for!

Hi
Thanks, no, none are normal /usual for me at all. I'm not symptom spotting? I'm just saying how I felt. But thanks. Sure it will all come out in the wash

Are you hoping for it to be pregnancy OP? Will you do a test soon? By my calculation you could do one in a couple of days (counting 14 days from when you felt ovulation pain).

Well, it wasn't on the agenda, I've a 22 year old but it wouldn't be the end of the world and am fast getting used to the idea Blush

I am older than both of you and pregnant, also unplanned. But I am also rather attached to the idea now! Best wishes to you both. Will you keep us posted OP?

That's awesome. Praying safe delivery.

Good luck delectable and congratulations somethingsnappy.
Mine was just a freaky period so it turns out. I'm never late, never have those symptoms and am having a horrible one. Must be my age, was quite disappointed in the end but probably got the best. Keep in touch both and let me know how you get on xx

I'm sorry you've had that disappointment. I wonder if it was a chemical pregnancy, with the symptoms you described and then a late and horrible period?

Thank you. I hope you get your bfp if you still wish to.

@Somethingsnappy yes I've been wondering that myself as I've felt really rough and still do and so emotional. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Thanks @Delectable xx

How exciting if you are! I had a baby at 43 and it has been wonderful, it keeps you young and active!

That's a lovely cheerful message, Hathor...thank you! I am excited, but nervous too.

I'm sorry you're having a difficult time Jayjay. Maybe when things settle down and you feel a bit recovered, you'll be able to have a think and perhaps you'll decide that door may still be open for you....?

Jayjayhey I'm in a similar boat, hard to know whether to get excited at the idea of another little one or impatient for AF to show up.

I feel a little bit envious that you have your answer. My period has been missing since early April, I'm also early 40s.

Will you do a test, Florababy?

Report
florababy84 · 13/06/2020 10:06

I've done 4 which were negative and then another one a few days ago that had a super super faint line, but was probably negative too. I'm nervous of testing again.

Report
Somethingsnappy · 13/06/2020 11:04

It is nerve-wracking! But a line, however faint, is still a line! Perhaps do another in a couple of days, and see if the line is darkening?. I hope you get the outcome you want!
