Hi all,

What does it mean to get a BFP at 9dpo? I tested yesterday and got + with sainsburys test before realising that they are notorious for false positives so assumed it was false. Tested again this morning at 10dpo (positive ovulation test was last monday) with CB, and it is BFP too. Been feeling nauseous for the whole week, and its rapidly getting worse. Could this signal that it's twins? This is first month TTC, so a little shocked.

@shirleysmiith

How strong were the positives? It's not that they are known for false positives,its more they tend to have evap lines, so if they are faint lines they could be mistaken for evap. However if you are getting lines on multiple tests I'd be pretty certain you are pregnant 🤗

Also the sickness getting stronger doesn't indicate twins! It is morning sickness and it can sometimes be worse than other days. Keep hydrated and eat little and often :) xxx

Hi Bluemints, thanks for responding so early in the am! Apparently I can't post pics as my account is new, but line strength is about a 5 out of 10. Frustrating to read some articles online saying that you wont feel pregnant at 4 weeks. AF wasn't due till the weekend and I'm suffering!! Others suggest that early strong symptoms might mean multiples. Hope you're right that it doesn't mean twins. Have a pretty full on job so one would be more than enough!

Of course!

Honestly I had so many symptoms when I first found out I was pregnant with DS, i didnt feel pregnant, but then I felt in disbelief literally until I gave birth 😂 so often I convinced myself it wasnt real and maybe it was just a baby sized tumour! So strange haha. I had a full feeling, like heavy, similar to when you are on a heavy period, I had crazy dreams, I went to do a no.2 like 5 times a day, smells were different and I had headaches, and this was all about 2 weeks past ovulation so super early. I was convinced it would be twins because i dreamt about twins the night before I took the test haha!

I got my bfp at 9dpo with a clear and simple backed up by a frer and scan yesterday showed only one baby in there, like me you probably just implanted earlier than average. And like you my nausea is really bad coupled with complete exhaustion, our bodies react differently symptom wise with every pregnancy.

Congratulations x

How did you track ovulation? It’s possible that you ovulated earlier than you thought which means it’s totally possible to get a BFP!

Hope it gets stronger in a day or two!!

@bluemints you tried to poo out your baby! 😂classic.

Ok thanks everyone that's really made me feel much better. Fingers crossed for just the one! And congrats @Maidmummy must be exciting to have the first scan.

@Cloudmtb I used the Boots ovulation tests. Had a positive last Monday and Tuesday mornings, then negative on the Wednesday morning. So perhaps just implanted early. Think I felt some implantation cramps last weekend, so all must be happening pretty swiftly!
