Help with ovulation strips

Hey Girls,
I've been using ovulation strips tests for a few months now, when I use them the control line is always dark and thick which I know that is normal, but the result line is always thin, I think I've had a dark test line but it was so thin. Can I take that I have ovulated?! Any help would be appreciated

Mine sometimes do this, some of it depends on the brand. If each test is doing it but you are getting different shades then maybe the well the dye sits in is narrow on your brand? Maybe try an alternative brand for a month to compare? Personally I've been a big fan of wilko lh and hcg tests and they are cheap!

Or a back up would be to track bbt? You should get a temp rise a day or two after the peak reading if ovulation has occurred. I found using both really useful x

It must be the brand I've already ordered the same again, but next time I shall try a different brand. Would you say thats a positive, I was on the Depo a year ago, and this is the darkest I've got yet.
Thank you for your reply much appreciated

I'd def say high if not a peak. Its hard to tell plus some people's peaks only last a few hours. Won't harm to get some bding on!

Thank you we DTD that night. The next day after this result was negative. So lets hope I have ovulated this month 🙏

Additionally to what @Sammyclaire22 said about the BBT I would track cm also. BBT only shows you once you have ovulated and the cm indicates ovulation so you can make sure you don't miss it, even if you miss your peak on the OPK.
