Hello
I'm hoping someone can help. I have got a call from a doctor tomorrow as I've got bloody discharge on day 12 of my cycle.

Bought clear blue advanced digital opk and I randomly got a solid smiley on cycle day 11 (early for me) and then I re checked in the afternoon and this morning and it was an empty circle.

Redid this afternoon and I had a solid smiley again.

Anyone else experienced this? Do I have a hormonal imbalance?! I should add I miscarried in December.

Any help would be soo so appreciated!

The advanced digital opk will keep the solid smiley face for 48 hours so you’re not supposed to test again. Did you retest with a different holder? If so that’s the reason for the blank circle as it always shows an empty circle on first use. Good luck @Hopesandrainbows

Thanks for your reply!

I bought a new holder but did a test wee on it as I know it will be a blank and have had another blank since then. Then a solid smiley after that. Absolutely no symptoms of ovulation though- no mid cycle pain or Ewcm which I usually get. X

Was your test wee 48 hours or more before your second blank circle @Hopesandrainbows if so the holder resets itself every 48 hours.

If not I would suggest it’s because it’s a new holder. If you have used the other one on previous cycles or have been using it for several day’s this cycle it starts to learn what is normal for you in terms of base levels. The new holder wouldn’t have that baseline information and therefore takes a little more time to ‘catch up’.

I know when I’ve used a new holder I get blank circles for more days when I start testing early on in the month than if I’ve used the holder before as it has no previous information for me in terms of what’s normal. They’re really quite clever.
