Came off the pill after 10 years last september. Had withdrawel bleed. First af 1st dec. 1st and 2nd cycle 39 days. 3rd 41 days. Now cycle 4 cd50. No af, bfn on tests. Is it possible ive just missed this period? Is there something wrong with me?

@Luckylola12 nothing wrong with you! Your body is probably just taking time to adjust back. My cycles were between 32 and 50 days for 4/5 cycles after coming off pill. My last cycle was 50days before I got BFP! It is annoying when you don't know what's going on but you will get there. 👍🏼

@mumof1hants thanks for sharing! Out of interest how long are you cycles now? Also how long since stopping the pill did they regulate? 😊

When I was younger my cycles were totally irregular. I always put it down to stress, it seemed the more I wanted AF to come the longer it took! I dont know if that was the case, it probably did have something to do with being on and off the pill and not eating properly! Seem to be pretty regular now x

@Luckylola12 yeah I used OPKs and was able to be more control of my cycles that way. I started from about day 10 and always managed to get a peak. You could try temping too? (Although saying that, I tried and gave up, my temps were all over the place and it stressed me out!)

Hi @Luckylola12 I stopped the pill back in October, didn’t have a period until 5th December, then have had a 31, 54, 45 day cycles and I’m currently on day 36 of this cycle! You’re not on your own xx

I haven’t even stopped contraception and my body decided to just skip a period last month. I finally caved to my concerns, bought some internet cheapy tests to put my mind at rest even though I have an implant and my period started that morning.

Bodies just like to fuck you over for shits and giggles.

Hi @hoping87 its good to hear that its normal after stopping the pill! Just wonder how long it will take to regulate?

@rudyroo im going to buy some cheapy opks (when af finally arrives!) So i can test as much as possible! Are you testing twice a day? I tried temping but kept forgetting to do it each day haha!

@Luckylola12 no I just did it once a day but I got the digital ones with smiley faces so I didn't have to analyse the strips. They worked well for me but I know they are expensive.

@rudyroo when you got your bfp did you figure out what day you ovulated on? Was it the classic 14 days before?

@Luckylola12 when I got BFP I got peak on cycle day 17, but who knows how long my cycle would have been if I had got my AF. I would start using cheapies like you say and see how you get on. Hope everything sorts iteself out soon for you.

Quite possible and normal. Some women miss a few. Don't worry about it.
