FRER - is this a line?

Never been pregnant or taken a proper pregnancy test so sorry if I seem stupid!
Do FRER have a very fine line where the ‘pregnant’ line is supposed to be?
At first look my test this morning didn’t look like anything and then I broke it out the box for a closer inspection.

I see something, but how long after did it appear? I'm not sure I see colour, it could be a evaporation line.

Hiya, thanks for your reply. It appeared within the 3 mins.
I still have this mornings wee and a clear blue rapid detection, do you think it’s worth doing that?

How many dpo are you? There is a line there but to me it looks like an indent line as there's no colour. The indent is where the dye would collect if you were pregnant - FRERs are quite notorious for them.

I'd give it a couple more days then test again.

See I’m not really sure when I ovulated. I came off the pill in January so my cycles are really irregular. My last cycle was 51 days and I’m currently 36 days into this current cycle so will just have to wait and see I suppose.

Yes I've noticed some of them have a sort of carved out line where the testing zone is, I got that last week and came up negative two days later with a different test xx

Ahh I see, it can take a while for your cycle to get back to normal. You could try temping or using OPKs to try and pinpoint ovulation, then you'd know when to expect your period at least.

Thank you for your help everyone
I will leave it a few days and then take another test

The rapid response isn't very sensitive and is less sensitive than the early detection.

You invalidate FRERs by taking them apart as when the air gets to them it can make a line appear when you are not pregnant

Shine a torch through the back is a better option as usually a faint positive line can be seen then

So I took another test this morning (very impatient of me) and I didn’t take it out the casing 😂
I believe I could see a veeeeery faint line. (So faint the pics I took don’t do it any justice and just looks like nothing).
Haven’t been able to track ovulation because of my irregular cycles but DTD on 09, 21, 22 this month so doubt it would be the earlier this week times that would have conceived to show any already.
I dunno, will just have to be more patient and do another test in another few days.
Thank you for all your replies, it’s much appreciated 🙂

I've found the best way to get decent pictures is to put the test in the window so it gets natural light and then take the pic really close up.
