Vitamins won’t help you conceive. They will help you grow a healthy baby though, so a good idea to take them, particularly folic acid, while you’re trying.

Any recommendations of supplements that might help?

I'm over 35 and take Proceive Max (Holland and Barratt and Boots online) it's expensive but has the most "in it" compared to pre conception ones from Pregnacare and Boots own.
If you're under 35 the normal Proceive ones are cheaper! 😀

Argh I didn’t realise I need special vitamins because I am ancient. I’ve just been taking the seven sea ones . Whoops

you only need to take folic acid before but I also took vitamin d as I didn't feel I spent much time in the sun when ttc

I also swapped diet ready for when I got my bfp e.g. seeded bread rather than white, brown rice and pasta not white and increased green leafy veg for folic acid

Hey I take Terra Nova Prenatal which has had noticeable effects on health I would say. They also have a powder called Terra Nova Life which has everything you could need in it.

I spoke to a nutritionist and she recommended that do I keto-style diet or intermittent fasting, with lots of leafy green veg that contain DIM which support the live and help you process oestrogen (to make way for progesterone). Gave up dairy mostly as contains horrible hormones.

I also did a couple of detoxes/cleanses with fresh juice and took milk thistle and dandelion combination supplement which again are good for the liver and reducing oestrogen.

Additionally i sorted out my gut health a bit as this is transferred to baby eventually. I took Symprove for 12 weeks and now drink Biomel (kefir made with coconut milk) and kombucha regularly plus eat other ferments like saukraut and Kim chi to feed the new good bacteria.

The other thing you need loads of when you're trying to conceive, and eventually do, is omega oils. And a high dose.

CoQ10 is something I take generally as a antioxidant, good for heart and general cell repair, some research to show it can help fertility.

I have also taken ashwanganda for stress, clarity and anxiety, which helps keep me calm and in a good mood. Also increases libido for both men and women 😈 but defo don't take when pregnant.

Just a prenatal, omega and probiotic when pregnant but obviously check with doctor 👩🏼‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️
