Right I have bought the clearblue ovulation sticks and was wondering if the sticks show a surge does that mean you have ovulated and an egg has been released or can you have a surge without an egg

Hi - my understanding of OV sticks is that your LH surge shows that you are likely to ovulate in the next 12 - 24 hours or so. However, I think you can have a surge without the egg then releasing (so no ovulation) and also, if you have something called PCOS your LH levels might not be correct so the OV stick reading will not accurately be predicting ovulation. I think..... I'm sure someone better in the know will reply!
