What’s going on?!

I am so confused. I just did this freedom test and got in an instant positive. Rushed out to get a clear blue conception indicator test and it’s saying not pregnant. Checked the sensitivities of both tests and it should be showing on the clear blue. Can anyone shed any light?

What’s going on?!

If you peed not long ago for the freedom test, your urine probably isn't concentrated enough for the second test. Try again with FMU.

Try again tomorrow with a first response

Thank you. Would you say the freedom one is definitely positive? I’ll add a pic of when it first developed, that’s it faded now

I have no personal experience of pregnancy tests but I read ALL the time that clearblue take ages to show but the pink ones are more accurate

That's one of the clearest positives I've seen in a while...congrats!! Thanks

I'd say that's a clear positive. Took me days to get positive on a digital xx

Thank you all! You’re making me feel better. I’m in emotional turmoil right now. Been doing IC for the past few days and only getting the faintest of lines so thought I’d try that. It came up instantly, so I thought a digital would show by now. Still don’t really know what to think.

JimandPam, I’m not sure exactly! Somewhere between 10-14.

Just did a Frer and it was negative. I guess it was a dud test?

Your hcg levels may not yet be strong enough so best to use fmu . Have you got another to try first thing?

Report
5millionnos · 16/11/2018 21:28

I do indeed. I’ve opened the frer and there is a visible line now but obv invalid as dried out and cracked open. I’m absolutely flummoxed! That freedom one is 25ml so you’d think it would pick up on a frer!

Frer from this morning negative too. Don’t trust the freedom test from Asda, is the moral of the story here.

That first response is positive

I think I can see something on that frer too x

JimandPam · 17/11/2018 16:41

I was also going to say the first response one looks positive! Fingers crossed for you @5millionnos

Seriously?! I can only see the tiniest sliver of a line that I completely disregarded.

I’m going to wait a few days and test again. It’s stressing me out.

Thank you JimandPam! Flowers

Hi OP, I did a test with an ASDA freedom test and got a positive when it was in fact negative, they are notorious for false positives if you read reviews on there websites, there's no good reviews on there!

Having said that I do see the faintest line on your FRER test so could be? I was absolutely gutted when I got my false positive but just wanted to let you know. Good luck & I hope it's the result you want xx

That FRER is a BFP.

I cant’t see anything on the first response, sorry.

I did one of those freedom tests yesterday my husband bought it (I did say get a cheap test!). We aren’t trying for a baby but I have felt very sick all week as I did with both my 2 children, I decided to buy a test after changing a nappy made me run to the loo to be sick. Anyway I tested yesterday and it was positive, not great timing etc but we were going to try for another next year anyway. Tested this morning with a normal Asda test and nothing there. This led me to do some googling and to read the reviews. The past month is unfortunately full of false positive tests. I’m 90% I’m not pregnant, I think my weird symptoms are related to breastfeeding and the freedom test is wrong. I feel so bad for anyone who is getting false positives from these tests.

You may be pregnant, give it another couple of days and try another first response or other reliable brand. I hope I’ve not dashed your hopes, I don’t mean to, I just thought you should know.

Don’t worry, cadburysflake, you haven’t dashed my hopes. I’ve read the reviews too and am under no illusion, nothing else is giving me a positive so it can’t be a true one. How bloody awful are those tests though?! They needed to be taken off the shelves yesterday

They should be removed ASAP I agree, someone commented on the reviews that they had been trying for years, it must be awful. It seems that the bad reviews are only from the past few months though so it sounds like there's a dodgy batch. I won't be buying them again anyway!

Hope you get your bfp soon, until your af shows you aren't out, good luck Smile xx

Just before I say this, I swear there is a faint line on that FRER, but not sure completely! However I got a false positive exactly like yours a few months back. Using the same test. They really should be taken off the shelves they are horrendous!! Sending lots of positive vibes. Hoping you get answers very soon. Good luck 💖xxx
