Hi all, completely brand new to Mumsnet but wanted to get some opinions please.
We’re ttc number 2. My son is 3 and I’m now 37.
After a year of trying, I sadly had a miscarriage in June at 11 weeks. We started again almost immediately but despite everyone telling me how fertile you are after a miscarriage, we haven’t had much luck since.
I have a regular cycle and am currently 5 days late (yay) but took a cheapy Asda test last night which was negative.
I feel pregnant. Sore chest and that feeling of exhaustion that you only get with pregnancy. But each time I tested previously and got a positive I was about 4/5 days late so I would expect to have it by now.
Anyone else had a wrong result with the Asda ones or taken longer for a positive.
Hubby going in for a hernia op in October so had all my hopes pinned on this one 😩
Thank you all

Asda digital was positive last night.
Clearblue digital negative this morning.
Asda is negative tonight.
Looks like we’re out. So disappointed after the positive and feeling pregnant.
Are we cursed?! Or are Asda tests rubbish?!

Hmmm, that is strange. If you google Asda tests, they do seem to get a bad press.
We’re always told that you can’t get a false positive...what day are you on?
Someone on a different thread did say ‘it’s not over until AF arrives’ so there is still hope. It such a bloomin rollercoaster, isn’t it 😩

Thanks @LouH I’ve had another negative this morning so wonder if the first Asda test was faulty? Still no sign of a ‘proper’ period, just traces of very dark brown when wiping. Discounting that, that makes this day 37 and I’m always regular at 29-30. Who knows?!

Mother Nature is a mystery!
Still no sign of AF here. Was out with my son and suddenly had a wave of nausea like I did with him and the other pregnancy. If I hadn’t had the negative on Fri I would be convinced that I was pregnant.
I’m too afraid to take another test.
After everyone’s experiences I don’t know whose test to trust!
Going to wait a few days, see if it arrives, if not take a test while my son is at nursery.
It’s so hard not to just analyse everything!
Did you do OPK’s? Do you know when you might have ovulated? x

Definitely a mystery @LouH - it’s so frustrating when things don’t make sense! And Lord only knows which tests are reliable?! I did OPK’s but only got very feint positives so think I ovulated around the 4th or 5th. Just back from an unrelated nurses appointment, but explained my situation to him - he did a test and it was negative too. Think I’m definitely out but where is my proper AF?! This wishy-washy, shall I shan’t I nonsense is annoying me and just raising my hopes even more!!! Not to mention, throwing all my future ovulation dates! Anyway, any updates with you?
