Contraceptive Implant-Pain After 6 months

In august last year, roughly 7 months ago to the date, I got a contraceptive implant during surgery. I done what i was told concerning after care and all was fine. About a week ago, i started experiencing some pulsating pain at the implant site, sometimes their sharp, most times it feels like a bruise. The site isn't red or swollen yet but it starting to become very a very noticeable pain.

I wonder if anyone has this, i'm still experiencing a crazy period cycle because of it so i thought that it might but i dont' think this pain is.

There is another fact, that being my two large dogs. They often lay with me in bed and stretch theirs paws across my arm where the implant site is while my own arm is stretched out. Anyone with dogs would know how rough it usually is, could it be just that maybe? Should i leave it for a while, keeping the dogs away and resting is and see if that helps it get better, Or should i visit the doctor asap?

I know this is an ultra long post but the surgery i had while getting the implant put in was all such a traumatic experience, i really dont want to relive it.

I used to get that if I knocked mine, so could definitely be the dogs.

I had to have mine out after a year due to heavy bleeds (6 weeks on, 1-2 weeks off for an entire year!) and it was far easier than having it put in if you do need to go that route in the future xx
