So here's the deal.......................
dc2 turned on in the Autumn, but chose to continue (reduced quantity) breastfeeding into Spring, to help with immunity and fight winter illnesses etc. For past approx. 4 weeks it has been consistently one feed a day, when we get up in the morning.

Then water/milk with meals and milk in sippy cup before bed.

My question is (because the internet is full of contradictions! Confused} is a daily breastfeed in the mornings likely to effect ttc? (would aim to start ttc dc3 in March).

What has your experience been?
What is your interpretation of the info out there?
What did you do re: breastfeeding and would you do it again?
?do I need to stop breastfeeding asap

Thanks in advance mn!

I doubt this would be an issue especially if you are having regular periods?

I fell pregnant with dd when da was 11 months old and I was still breastfeeding him a couple of times a day and in the night. I hadn't had my period at all since giving birth to him so I guess is I must have conceived while ovulating for the first time.

Anyway, i say keep feeding and you should conceive just fine.

Yes, periods pretty much regular. Also, signs of ovulation/fertile windows one might look for when ttc are glaringingly obvious monthly. I feel quite fertile, that it might happen quickly if/when we do start ttc.

Dc1 took almost a year, dc2 happened first month ttc

It's very individual. You'll get plenty of people telling you that they fell pregnant while bfing. Personally I got a period when I night weaned but no signs of ovulation or any more periods until we fully weaned a year later (2 months ago, though we went down to just one feed a day 5 months ago) I'm now getting regular periods and signs of ovulation.

The fact you are already having regular periods and ovulation signs is probably a good thing.
