Hi ladies.. So I'm having an ultrasound in an hour to check for pcos. I'm also late on my period (I've decided to wait until after ultrasound to test due to being irregular)..
I'm being hopeful in the sense of I may go for a scan and WHALA! I'm pregnant.. but honestly what are the chances? And can they even tell if I'm pregnant when they're looking for cysts?

I know its a silly thing to ask... (and my apologies in advance) but are you aware that PCOS is a number one factor that makes periods irregular? What I'm trying to say - don't guess - just take a pg test and if it's negative, then it's cleat that it's an evil work of the pcos.... And if it's positive... well, you've been very lucky! =). So don't guess, have a test! And Good luck!

Yeah been reading on it for the past 2 days. The scan is initially to see if there's any cysts etc as they don't know why I'm so irregular. He wouldn't tell me anything "/
I have internet cheapies that scream no at me.. bloody one step strips.
Getting so annoyed with it :( xx

They will look at your uterus but a pregnancy wouldn’t normally show on ultrasound until a good 5-6 weeks after your last period so even if you are pregnant chances are it would be too early to see. You are better off doing a pregnancy test if you want to know for sure.

I was just clutching at straws, I don't think I am. Not lucky enough for that.
Sorry to sound so disheartened, but I'm literally fed up of it now. It's not unusual for me to be 10 days late. I'm anywhere between 33 and 67 days in cycles.

That’s the thing, with pcos you are never late. A good idea would be to track your cycles to gain control and learn about how your body works. You can do this with temping and OPK. Hope your scan went ok and you get your results soon.
