Clomid???
(18 Posts)What are everyone's journeys with Clomid? I'm starting my first Clomid cycle this month so fingers crossed!
I lost 5 stone to get to the BMI target of 30 they wanted before I could start it then got pregnant on the first cycle.
Best of luck
Got pregnant the first cycle I was took it, son is now 4! Don’t recall any side effects.
However my fertility was unexplained and I went on to have another child without clomid, so possibly nothing was wrong with me first time, just the stars hadn’t properly aligned for some reason
Have a good friend with polycystic ovaries that took it and got pregnant quickly twice.
Best of luck, I know many get lucky with it.
I've been off the depo two years in December, if it doesn't happen with Clomid I think I'll give up altogether - I'm close to giving up now! X
Do it, waddling round with baby no3 now but the other two were clomid babies.
I'm actually not big but I had to get down to a bmi of 20 for DD1 so it's worth looking at weight etc to give it best shot, 2nd time I was at prebaby weight but went privately so they're not fussed.
Consultant says I'm a healthy weight but I'm dieting at the minute anyway as I feel like a whale. Was on the depo for around 7 years and I still think that has something to do with not being able to conceive. Crossing my fingers that Clomid works! X
Got pregnant on first cycle with second baby here! Good luck xx
I’ve just ovulated on my first cycle of clomid. I have pco/pcos (not had the blood test to confirm pcos). Had ovarian tracking which I found emotionally tough. I ovulate on my own but not till later (cd 19-24 generally). I ovulated cd15 with clomid.
I had some hot flushes at night with it and my first dose made me feel ‘fuzzy’. But nothing too bad.
Not sure if this will be ‘the cycle’. Ttc 20 months. I know it’s still less likely than likely to happen.... no breaths being held here!!!
Do you need a BMI of 30 before the nhs will prescribe it? Omg I have no chance. 😭
Currently 34 weeks pg after 5 rounds of clomid... they usually prescribe 6 so don't give up hope of the first few don't work.
There's a good thread on here for clomid ladies, I'll see if I can find it.
Mouse - generally yes. It’s less effective with higher bmi as well as increased risks from obese pregnancy.
Got pregnant with twins on 4th cycle, they are now 8! Good luck xx
Hearing lots of success stories so feeling quite positive! Crossing my fingers! X
Cannot believe I'm writing this... I got my BFP today!!!!!!!
Eek @dperkins64013 congratulations!! Did you take clomid in the end or did you fall lucky before you started?
Was due to start Clomid on my next cycle, fell really bloody lucky!! 😂 x
dperkins64013 massive congrats! That is great news!
Thank you! X
