I am on cycle 9 and not done the whole telling and opk thing.
Does it seem to make a difference?
My cycles range from 28 to 31 days.

It did for us. Conceived cycle 3 when doing temping and OPKs. Helped me understand my own cycle (mine varied from 30-34 days) and the cycle we conceived I actually ovd on cd12 which was early compared with my cycle length so I wouldn't have known otherwise! So it's a 👍🏻 from me!

I find it helpful as DP and I work shifts including nights so can't just dtd every other day for two weeks (as the family planning nurse suggested) and hope for the best.

The clearblue advanced digital ones gave us five days of high/peak fertility last month and having a clearer, shorter timeframe means we can focus our efforts and make sure we dtd at the right time.

It also keeps the pressure off the rest of the time and stops TTC taking over our lives too much!

For me it was very helpful. The cycle I conceived I ovulated later than previous months. Doing the opks confirmed this. I also temp and find that useful.

Yes. I ov really late and wouldn't probably have stopped the 'every other day' by then (tired!!).

I wonder this. We are on cycle 15 ish now.
To be fair, the year has been a bit stressful so some months were written off.

I tries using them but they seem.more stress.

We are going to the dr thia week though

Four pregnancies of mine have been conceived purely by having sex on the day of positive opks and no other time.

It also takes the edge off my poas urge.

Worked for me.

It certainly did for us! My cycles varied in length like yours. Knowing when I ovulated meant that we were blessed with conceiving in the first cycle with DS and current pregnancy. It's a complete guessing game otherwise (unless you're really tuned in to your body which I'm not!). Well worth a try if you're getting frustrated. Best of luck OP Flowers

Just to say as well that my cycles were anywhere from 21- 35 days!

Depends.

Are you having sex every few days through out your entire cycle? If you are then you’re covered no matter if you’re doing OPK or not.

Do you have any ovulation signs like cramping?

I have a 25 day cycle and thought I ovulated on day 11. I actually ovulate day 16-19 Which meant I have a luteal phase defect and can now look to correct it. I’ve been TTC 14 months.

Good luck.
X

Exactly, if you have sex very regularly anyway, it wouldn’t make a difference. Personally, I could also tell when I was ovulating as I had all the usual symptoms and was always in the mood a lot more around that time. As we didn’t get pregnant for a long time, I moved onto OPKs but they just confirmed what I thought anyway so were no use in our case.

Clear Blue digital ovulation kit was awesome. I was surprised by how all over the map my ovulation was in my late 30s.

This is the reason I used OPKs. Sometimes you think you know when you ovulate but actually have no idea. My cycle was anywhere from 21-35 days. TTC #1 I was working long hours, as was DH and so having sex every day/every other day was impossible for us! Good job to those of you who said that's what they do. I have no idea where you all have the energy! 😂

I used Tescos. You get a pack of 7. I found them really clear.

The ones I used were Clear Blue digital. They’re very good.
