Hi, I came off my pill in May and have been ttc. I already have a 7 year old son but this is my first with my partner-also his first. My cycle is usually 33 days but I am 4 days late , I have all the symptoms of when I did when I was pregnant before. Feel sick most of the day, cramps, lower back ache, boobs hurt some days and so tired I just want to sleep all the time. I took a cheap test on Monday and it was negative so I tested again today with a clear blue digital and still negative. I'm confused as I have that gut feeling I'm pregnant but obvioulsy the tests are saying no!! I did wonder if I have tested too early as I have known some people to not get a positive on a test until weeks late. Has anybody else had this problem and had a happy outcome?? X

Maybe get a FRER and test with that? I've heard a few people on the boards say that the Clear Blue tests aren't quite as sensitive, so maybe your HGV levels aren't quite high enough for them yet. It's definitely possible to get a negative test followed by a positive. The FRER tests are pretty sensitive so might give you a clearer result.

Thank you I think I will see if I come on over the weekend and buy one of those for Monday morning. It's so hard to wait but I'm getting my hopes up with all the symptoms

Try a FRER but honestly, when I came off birth control, for about the first 6 months I had symptoms on and off all the time. A few times I wa convinced I was pregnant because I had all the symptoms I had the two times I’ve been pregnant. Nausea, sore boobs, tiredness etc. I wasn’t pregnant, it was just my stupid progesterone levels deciding that that month it was going to be mean and trick me. You might be pregnant but it also could just be your hormone levels. My cycles went back to normal after my implant removal yet my progesterone caused me more intense symptoms than it ever has for ages. I’m on cycle 11 of ttc now and it’s calmed down, I don’t get any symptoms in my tww anymore! Good luck!

True, I do keep thinking it could be my hormones and I'm getting my hopes up for nothing. I'm the most impatient person in the world and want another baby so bad! Think I'm driving myself mad googling everything haha. I have read so many times people who have been pregnant but the tests haven't picked it up for ages after that's probably the minority though x
