Copper coil causing bleeding - ttc?

After months of mid-cycle bleeding I am seeing a consultant tomorrow about what could be causing it. I had an ultrasound which came back clear so ruled out cysts etc.... does anyone have experience of mid-cycle bleeding as a result of a copper coil? I'm starting to think that's what it could be?
If it is, then I'd get it removed and start ttc a littler earlier than planned!
I've read some things which say it could be moving/irritating but the bleeds are the same time each month (around ovulation) so not sure?! Help!

It may well be related to ovulation if happpening at same time each month and is just spotting. The copper coil doesn't stop you ovulating. Ovulation can cause a change in hormone levels which can make some women spot. If you've had an ultrasound which shows the coil is in place it's probably nothing to do with your coil.
