Hi ladies, new to this so please be nice haha Smile so, I've been TTC since mid June, my last period was due July 14th and it still hasn't come! This past week ive noticed I have tender breasts/sore nipples. I urinate a lot more than usual. Tired all the time, had 2 awful migraines, my mood swings are awful I feel sorry for my partner 😂Grin just wondering what were your early signs and what your thoughts of my symptoms are?

Take a test.

Have you taken a test? That will be your best bet. It all depends on the length of your cycle. When or whether you actually ovulated. Your symptoms could be related to AF or pregnancy. Just take a test.

Hi OP, you must be feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Take a test. I think that's the only advice you'll get to your question in reality. Good luck.

I didn't have migraines once I got pregnant, I always have them just before ovulation and just before the period. So if I were having your symptoms, I'd probably do a test asap because on the one hand the breast tenderness fits, but on the other hand my migraines disappeared. But it sounds quite possible. Specially on the tiredness, I felt like I had the flu! My body was so sore! And very sleepy.

Thanks! I will be testing Thursday morning, not sure what test to buy? Yes I'm so excited but so nervous haha, fingers crossed! I don't usually suffer from headaches, could that be related to AF? I keep having very vivid dreams of pregnancy & positive tests so hoping that's a sign too, maybe just because I want it so bad hahaGrin will let you know the results! :)

I wish you the best of luck but seriously if your period is 5 weeks late now and why have you not taken a test already? I'd buy a first response but literally any test will show pregnancy now seeing as your so late.

Good luck but why have you not tested already?!

Odd. Why not today? Most supermarkets and even some corner shopshave pregnancy tests, if you don't have a pharmacy nearby.

If you've done a test when you were a week late, it's pretty unlikely that you're pregnant to be honest. It's easy to convince yourself you are if you want to be.

Try another test in case it was a false negative. They're usually pretty reliable though.

Not necessarily, purple. It all depends on whether she ovulated at the usual time. I didn't know I ovulated well beyond the 14day, so I was taking tests at the wrong times, as it took an extra 4-5 days for me to get results. In the same way, I kept reading that if you had bleeding you couldn't be pregnant and with my first I had 3 days of normal period bleeding, then suddenly stopped and a few days later I found out I was pregnant. Everyone is different.

I've been having vivid dreams too. Wonder if there's a link!

Also been having very vivid dreams which is unusual for me Confused - not pregnancy dreams though, mine were a bit weird! In one I was on a ship and we hit an iceberg-and no, I haven't watched titanic recently Grin

I have read online that there is a link to vivid dreams in early pregnancy.. fingers crossed!

I think vivid dreams is a symptom, not totally sure though haha. Anyway, I've done a standard clear blue test, very very faint line. Partner and sister can see it too. Don't want to get my hopes up though, I am going to get some first response tests as I have read that they are more sensitive in early pregnancy and that pink ink is better Grin

I don't want to worry you but I think it might be a good idea for you to go and see a doctor and ask for some blood tests to check your hormone levels. With your period being 5 weeks late you should have a super strong line by now which is much darker than the control line. Unless you conceived this month rather than last month, or you've got a faulty test, I think this needs to be looked at as soon as possible so you know what is happening.

Good luck with everything x

Does not missing two periods mean pregnancy.
When there were no home tests then, yes you are pregnant, would be the answer.
Because missed periods are, in a young healthy woman, the sign of pregnancy and you would be extremely unlucky and unusual to have some other health problem.
Ask any doctor and they will say that the most likely cause is pregnancy.
The pregnancy hormone is not always overly strong for home tests to react accordingly.
Perhaps things can get a little fraught and things gets over thought when TTC.
I really truly hope that you are pregnant and your wait is over.

When you say you've been trying since mid-June, do you mean you came off the pill or another form of hormonal contraception then? Because if so when your period is 'due' doesn't mean much - very long (or short) cycles are normal. Which means it might be that you didn't ovulate until a couple of weeks ago, so your faint line could be normal.

My cycle is usually 28 days. I have never used contraception. I got into a new relationship mid June and we've been trying since then. I have done a first response test and that is Negative. boobs have been so painful for over a week now, even though they've been painful that long could that mean AF will arrive soon? Earliest appointment I could get with my doctors is the 6th, but will ring every morning next week to see what they have available. Just want to know what's going on! Sad

You're in a relationship since mid June? Do you not think waiting to see how the relationship goes before trying to have a baby might be a better idea????? Wtf

Judgey much? Geez. It's none of your damn business, nor is it the point of this thread.

OP, I personally think you ov late if the tests are negative. Doesn't mean you're not pregnant!!

I know exactly what I'm doing and this feels right, we've known each other a long time and there's a lot more to it, but like Evie said, that's not the point of the thread.
Thank you Evie. Will be ringing my doctors to ask for a blood pregnancy test, I've heard they're more accurate?
