Coil Removed! Any advice?

Hi! I'm new here! I had my mirena coil removed today, want to start trying for baby number 2 asap. The doctor didn't give any advice apart from "you should be fertile within a week" and "you can start trying now". As baby number 1 was a 'happy accident' i have no idea how ttc works! Any advice for someone new to ttc? I'm excited but also scared because you never know how hard/easy it will be!

You're the same as me with a happy accident and now ttc. I would start with a period tracker app and see how long your cycles are and get some ovulation tests. Get to know your body. Good luck

Thanks! You too! How long have you been ttc? It's weird having been pregnant without trying before and now planning it because this bits all so new!

But so exciting too. Just by doing little bits like taking pre pregnancy vitamins and I like to treat myself. I go all month without alcohol and eating well, swimming etc... then when the dreaded AF ruins my month I buy a bottle of wine, don't go gym and binge on take out and chocolate. It's easier to accept the bfn then. Had mirena out in November, chemical pregnancy in December which was a shame but wasn't meant to be.

The binge sounds like a good idea!!! Awh sorry to hear about the chemical pregnancy! Hope it happens for you soon :) What vitamins do you take? There's so many around!

I'm in the same boat too, coil removed on the 12th March yet to have a period, wish it would hurry up so I can get up to speed with my cycle! I have 2 other children who are quite a bit older after much deliberation we've decided to go for it - age gap will be 10-11 years with my eldest. Can't wait - really excited, fell pregnant very easily before hoping it will be the same this time! Good luck to you both 🤞🏼
