Poundshop pregnancy tests - any good?

Hi, a friend of mine told me to stop wasting money on FRERs and to just go and stock up from the poundshop.

Has anyone used them before? Are they notorious for evaps? Not sure whether to get some or not. I'm not a completely crazy POAS girl. But tend to do one either on day AF is due or after.

Is it worth buying them or should I stick to FRER?

Thanks Smile

Depends how early you are testing. If you are waiting until you've missed your period poundshop ones are fine in my experience. If you are testing early stick to FRER. I'd say though that I was constantly testing early and in the end was getting so stressed / upset I gave myself a good talking to and agreed to just 'chill' and let it happen. Within 2 months I was pregnant and didn't test until a day after my missed period and got a nice strong positive Smile

Yep I bought one from quality save and it came up nice and bright the day after af was due. Best 89p I've ever spent. Never bought another one just waited for 12 week scan after that.

Great thank you! Maybe getting those instead will be a good incentive to make me wait to test! X

I used poundshop ones and got faint positive day before AF was due.
TBH if you are going to be testing loads stock up on some cheapies from Ebay here
Can get loads for a couple of quid

I used pound shop ones. The thing is that you need to actually miss your period for it to register.

Ok thank you for all the good advice! Trying to chill out on testing a bit so this may reduce the temptation! X

Probably not as risky as pound shop condoms!
