Hello all, I had my period on Jan 2nd but got my peak on the 21st of January. I took a test today which makes me 9/10 DPO roughly. I took a FR test today which came up with a positive result not even faint it was a clear line. I then took a CB which was negative, just wondering am I indeed pregnant or not? Thank you!

No I tested about 3 hours apart as I was waiting for hubby to come home. Should I just wait till tomorrow to take another ft and then just take a CB on the Sunday? Am I defo pregnant?

Definitely looks pregnant to me! That is a very dark line for 9-10dpo!
If you're worrying about a chemical or M don't, your hcg wouldn't have gone down that much in 3 hours anyway Xx

It's a first response rapid results test. I can't seem to find the sensitivity online so I will just worry myself until i get a pos on the CB. Worrier I am:(

You've tested with potentially less concentrated urine & a less sensitive test so don't worry yourself. You got a very strong positive on the pink test

So I am pregnant then?

Yes.
At least I would say you are.
Test with the digital the morning you are due your period would be my advice.

I was due the period today...should I test in the morning with the cb and frre? Or no?

I just recently had a baby in November so is there a chance it is picking hug from then? I also had 2 periods within 3 day a of each other so I am unsure when to test from? Iknow I peaked for ovulation on the 21st

If you've definitely ovulated since the baby I doubt it's picking up from then. But the only way to tell for sure would be to have a blood test done to see what your actual HCG levels are. Whether they'll do that on the NHS or just tell you to wait and see I don't know.

I had a positive FR and a negative CB digital on the same day. I've just put the baby from the resultant pregnancy up to bed.
So, I'd say congratulations, OP!

Was everything okay ohidoliketobe? Thank you! I will just test again in a few more days to make it less worrying for me.

Took another test this morning (actually 2) and this was the result. Any ideas? I'm very confused now:/

Yes everything was fine with that pregnancy. Are you testing with your first pee of the day? As I understand it a false positive is pretty rare, a false negative much more common. I'd keep testing each morning and get booked in with GP/ midwife whatever the usual course of action is in your area.

Good luck!

I have had exactly the same thing today. The other lovely ladies said that the hcg wouldn't have been strong enough x

i am currently having a little bleed, could this mean i am out completely?

Not sure. Could you call your local Early Pregnancy Unit and ask their advice? If you've only had one positive test and the bleed is now small they might say it's nothing to worry about (but likely means you're not pregnant/chemical pregnancy).

The problem is that a positive pregnancy test + bleeding is a potential sign of ectopic pregnancy which should really be checked out.

Are you bleeding as much as a normal period, less or more?

gabrielle1201 · 05/02/2017 13:07

It is much less, but the bloods came back negative.

would they not turn me away tho? i didnt think you could get a false positive tho, especially the darkness of the line.

No not at all.

It could be a faulty test I suppose. If blood test was negative then that's more reliable than urine tests anyway. I'm sure "you can't get a false positive" is an exaggeration. There must be some situations where you can. Or perhaps it was a chemical pregnancy.

If youve had a negative test the bleeding is your period and you arent pregnant. Sorry but the sooner you move on the better Flowers
