TTC - help with dates please???

Could someone help me with ovulation dates please.

Been ttc for a few months but my method is obviously not working... opks don't work!

Last 2months periods dates

Start: 6th December

Finish - 12th December
------
Start: 9th Jan

Finish: 15th Jan

I actually clicked on this thread by accident and I'm no expert but last day of period has no relevance. Your cycle starts on the first day of your period. How long is your usual cycle? You ovulate about 14 days before the next cycle. So if your cycle is 28 days you ovulate on d14, if your cycle is 31 days you ovulate on day 17.

There are lots of other methods to use to help re ovulation. Temping, cervical mucus etc. Can't help with those.

So to work out cycle I've always thought it's from first day of period to the next - right? If so, going by my dates would make it 33days.

Yep, first day of the period is the first day of your cycle so this past cycle was 33 days long.

Do you use any of the apps to track your cycle? I use Ovia and Clue to track mine and they've got slightly different opinions but I have irregular cycles so they're always having to try second guess the mysterious ways of my body, but they're pretty good estimates.

Yes 33 days is your cycle length.

You will ovulate 12-16 days before the end of your cycle, 14 days is average but not the same for everyone.

You can monitor your resting temperature in the morning and look for a pattern which would indicate ovulation.

Perhaps you were using OPK at the wrong time in the month, ie too early?

How about physical signs of ovulation eg increased watery cervical mucus (looks like egg white)?

If TTC you should DTD every other day from 20th Jan (not sure why every other,just what I was told) and buy some cheap OPK from eBay/amazon. Think you are supposed to test in the afternoon, again not sure why!
