Hi all!
Me and my partner are currently trying for a child. I've just recently come off the mini-pill Feonolla and I'm aware it's going to take a little while before I actually fall pregnant, but I wanted to know roughly how long it took for all you Mums (or those women correctly trying) bodies to return back to a normal cycle?

Thank you so much in advance :)

Hey!!
Firstly, don't stress!! I was super panicked about conceiving thinking it'd take ages... Within 3 weeks I came on my period and 1-2 weeks after that we conceived! So it took me less than 5 weeks Smile
I'm now just over 7 weeks pregnant. My next worry is if everything will be ok with baby at our first scan! Hmm
I used an app called Ovia to help me with my ovulation and it was really good! Told me exactly when I was fertile and it was obviously super accurate!
I hope it happens for you soon enough X

Hi Bemba, I'm in the same boat as you I guess. I came off the pill four months ago and have been trying to conceive.

As mommatobe says, I think getting the Ovia app, or another similar one is quite helpful for tracking your fertility. I currently use 3, which may seem crazy but my periods have been a bit crazy since coming off the pill.

Have you been to see your gyno? I went the other week because I wanted a general health check, plus I wanted to make sure things were fine. I had been trying to monitor my cervical mucus and not finding very much down there.

My doctor said it takes a while for the body to get back to normal after being on the pill for years (I was on it for ten) Bu she says things look to be in quite good order now.

I'm not pregnant this month, I'm really hoping for next month. Good luck!

Hey!
Thank you both for getting back to me and replying to my thread :)
mommabtobe: I'm currently using a Period/Ovulation app and it's brilliant. It tracks a lot of the symptoms that cover ovulation and even tracks PMS and when my next period should be, but I haven't had a period since May and my body is only just showing signs of even thinking about ovulating. I will definitely give this app a look as ine doesn't really inform me when I could be fertile I don't think?
KittyWindbag: I went to the clinic a few months ago for a check-up and everything was in working order for me, so I'm not too sure whether it's worth going again considering I have notified my doctor that we are trying to conceive.

Thanks again guys!

I used a period app when I came off the pill last August called Clue which I really liked. Ovulation is roughly two weeks before your period and your fertile window is a few days either side of it :)

I came off the pill in August 2015 and had my first period in the September and then roughly every 28-35 days after that. The clue app starts you off on a 28 day cycle but after about three months of inputting your info it starts to work out things based on your own cycle.

My friend who gave birth 4/5 weeks ago didn't have a period at all after coming off the pill before falling pregnant, was about 2-3 months of no bleeding and she had an appt to see the doctor about it but done a test on the off chance which was positive.

Good luck!

I came off Femodene in May..1st cycle was 42 days long. Looking like cycle 2 will be similar if I don't catch this time as I ovulated very late again! It's different for everyone though! I'm using a app too but mainly to make it easier for me to keep track of dates/DTD/ length of cycle. I'm trying to be more aware of what my body is doing with regards to CM, my moods, symptoms etc and doing OPKs as I think that's a better indication than a app.

Hi guys!
Thank you for such positive responses to my thread! It's making me feel a lot better about my methods and the fact that I think I'm doing everything right :)
Mommatobe: Thank you so much! Congrats on the little one by the way! I'm sure everything will be just fine for the first scan.
happybus28: I have my app, but I'm looking more to the signs of my body more than anything else. It would be nice to know my body enough that I wouldn't need an app, but then again...I'm hoping to fall pregnant before that ;)
