Midcycle Bleeding - help

Morning,
I think I have a problem. Me and My partner have been trying to conceive since January this year, Sadly I miscarried in February but we have been trying ever since. I am 28 and he is 40.
Yesterday was my cycle day 15 and I am due to ovulate today (Cycle day 16) I am doing ovulation strips and they are backing me up on this. However after sex last night I noticed a very small amount of blood. I don't know whether this is important but we were a little rough but nothing to cause any damage!
I tried to think nothing of it but when I woke this morning and went to the loo the blood was brown, there wasn't much of it but enough for me to worry.
This is way to early to be implantation, should this be something I'm concerned about or is it perfectly normal.
I think i just need to put my mind at ease.

Thank you in advance for your help.

xx SParkes.

Hey! I wouldn't worry as the blood was brown which means its old blood, it could be left over blood that needs to come out and a bit of excessive movement probably just pushed it out.

I've noticed this before after sex and i haven't had any problems so I wouldn't worry at all! I'd be more concerned if it was red and accompanied by pain. As long as you didn't get any pain during sex its ok :)

didn't want to leave your post un answered

sometimes ovulation can cause slight bleeding, think its caused by the egg breaking out ...hopefully some more knowledgeable ladies will be along soon as I am no expert ;)

also maybe ask mn to edit your post as if that is part of your name at the bottom might make you identifiable, unlikely I know but cant be too careful as this is a massive site x

Ovulation can cause a bit of bleeding, but depending on when your last smear test was and if you don't usually bleed when you ovulate, it might be an idea to get checked out for peace of mind as only a doctor can tell you for sure.

My Last smear test was last year. Thank you for your answers.

Nothing is clear on any of this, and at schools they just tell you if you have unprotected sex you'll get pregnant. It is not as simple as that, there are some many complications and things that happen that no one tells you.

Its concerning and stressful.

I've had this. I had a swab and bloods taken. Nothing found, so now I'm going for a scan.
Worth seeing your gp about.

I had mid cycle bleeding this month. I have also had swabs, blood tests and a scan and all showed nothing. So I've just got to hope that it's a one off. My GP was really good about it but she said bleeding after sex is less likely to be an issue. I bled on and off for a week so it was different to you!

Good luck x

I used to get mid cycle bleeding some months (not all). IIRC it's not uncommon. For me, it was usually just a pinkish or brownish smear. Not enough to really call blood. It sounds like this is what you've had. I did get heavier bleeding a couple of times and had it investigated - no cause found though. I went on to conceive normally.

Worth getting checked if you're worried, but rest assured it doen't mean there is anything wrong.

I haven't noticed it for some years now, don't know if it's an age thing (now in my late 40s although still ovulating).

BTW, I meant to say, I'm pretty sure mine was an ovulation bleed. I often had ovulation pain (mittelschmerz) at about the same time. Quite useful actually, if you're TTC!

I meant, it doen't have to mean there is something wrong.

Mine has stopped now and I have had positive ovulation tests for the last 3 days - I'm cycle day 18. I hope we get there this month.
