I think I had implantation bleeding...

Hi everyone

TMI WARNING

I went to the toilet yesterday and noticed a little brown hued cm in my knickers and then once I wiped there was quite a large amount of yellowish, thick cm streaked with a fair bit of dark brown and a tiny bit of light pink cm. I hadn't been to the toilet for a few hours before that and I haven't had anything like it ever since, just that all as one bit in one wipe. I thought it might have been my long overdue period starting but nothing else happened. I hadn't had any cramps before or anything either which I thought was weird too.

My cervix is high and soft now and I've had more cm than usual since then - I've been very off my food and have felt a bit sick today but I could just be imagining that because I want to believe it's implantation.

I wanted to know if anyone had had implantation bleeding or anything similar to this? And also how long I should wait to test now it's happened if it is implantation. My periods are so irregular (I haven't had one for 4 months..) so I have no idea when I would have missed one.

Thanks!

Hi Laura,
Our cycles sound very similar! I didn't have a period for 4 months in the middle of moving and changing jobs this year. I'd like to say it's purely down to being unsettled but the same thing happened last year too. I usually have cycles of 33 days (if my body decides to be regular). Last month I had three strange days of heavy spotting after four months of nothing. I assumed it was ovulation bleeding, not that I've ever had it before. I started having other symptoms for ovulation later in the month and now that I count backwards it appears to be a really pathetic period...
I'll be interested to see if anyone else has experienced this!
Good luck x

OP- sounds exactly like my implantation bleeding. Fingers crossed for you.

FWIW, I had IB on the Thursday but didn't get a positive test until the following Monday

Sorry to throw a dampener on things but that's exactly what I get a day or two before AF comes. It is generally suggested to test 48 hours after suspected implantation and if negative, every 48 hours thereafter.

Thanks for the advice ladies - I got a faint but obvious BFP today so I think it must have been implantation!

I have been spotting since, light pink, brown and red in between - no cramps or anything and nothing on a pad or anything like that. I'm going to see my GP tomorrow to see if it's a chemical or something. Hopefully not...

Congratulations! Hope it's a sticky bean and you have a great pregnancy. Fwiw I had brown spotting on Friday twice. Nothing since and was due af today. Normally spot brown 1-2 days before af and have done since july. Will be testing in the morning if my temp stays up. Fingers crossed as it's cycle 13 for us Shock

Hi everyone

I've woken up this morning with heavy bleeding and 2 x bfn so I'm assuming I've had a chemical... I'm so upset, I don't know what to do with myself Sad

Aww hugs Laura. I'm so sorry to hear that x. My temp plummeted this morning so af arrival is imminent. Can't believe I allowed myself to get my hopes up again.
