Supplements advice - anyone taking CoQ10? (Or following a plan from the book 'it starts with the egg')

Hello everyone.

I've recently had my third mc in a row. Currently undergoing tests at st Mary's and hopefully Coventry when I next ovulate. In the meantime I have started doing a bit of research and have been reading 'it starts with the egg' by Rebecca Fett. I think I want to try taking the supplements that she has recommended. Just wondered if anyone has Done/is doing this and if they can recommend? I've tried to look around for CoQ10 but can't seem to find the 300mg dosage that she recommends (apart from on Amazon which always makes me suspicious about quality) Does anyone know where I can get this? X

Hi Lucinda, so sorry for your losses Flowers. I started taking a coq10 supplement after my MC in January. I started by taking the 200mg ubiquinine (all h&b are the less effective type) from Holland and Barrett and have recently started the Japanese 300mg which you've probably seen on Amazon. It doesn't really have any outwards effect on me so even if the one from Amazon isn't a great dosage it doesn't seem to do harm. Still ttc, but I have fingers crossed that it's helpful by for my next pregnancy. I'm now 35 and hopefully it'll help my egg quality. I also take folic acid, Vit c, Vit d and a multi mineral daily.

Ok thanks minnie I will prob go for the one on Amazon then! I am taking preconception vits but am also going to take more vit c and e as her plan for recurrent mc's suggests. Not sure about the other supplements she mentions in that plan just yet....taking a cautious step into it & dnt fancy taking hundreds of pills a day lol so will see how I go with the coq10 first. Fingers crossed.
