Hi there, I'll be 40 tomorrow and my DH is 41 next month.
it's our first month of TTC.
Is anyone out there in the same boat as me and what's your story?
I'm excited and very anxious as would like it to happen sooner than later. Especially that we'll be TTC long distance. I'm working away.
would love to hear your story
RS

I had DS2 at the age of 42. I used temping and was pregnant within 8 months.

Thanks Cece.
I'm working in Iraq and DH in Kent. As I'm on fixed schedule, worried that I might be missing my next cylce and the next one due to work. Feeling very stressed about it.
I'd be over the moon if it really happened in this cycle! but reading there's only 5% chances, it really brings me down

I first started ttc 2 months before I turned 40. It took about 6 months to conceive (so I was 40 by then). Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in mc, but I conceived again 3 months after that which resulted in my now 4 year old ds (born when I was 41). Unfortunately we have not been so lucky in ttc a second child (3 years and still trying), but we are very happy to have our beautiful little boy. So it definitely can happen. Best of luck.

Thanks joeywife. That's my biggest concern of MC.
And was your pregnancy ok? Any problems? Issues?
And sorry to hear about not happening for the second TTC.

Well, well, AF finally got me this morning! I'll trust my boobs next time as they never let me down pre-AF arrival. I'll never know why my OV day shifted last month and why I ended up with 34 CDs this time! Due to change of countries, from Iraq, permanently returning to the UK, due to unexpected redundancy which was done in a horrific way which prompted me to engage a solicitor to deal with it, it caused me a great deal of stress and upset, I won't lie.
Disappointed about this cycle but must be realistic about this journey and be aware of my age. Became 40 last month. Oh well, marching on, head high...
