I'm so fed up.

We've been trying to conceive #2 for 26 months now. Aboalutely no sniff of a bfp for 2 years, had fertility testing and down as unexplained secondary infertility.

In January I had a chemical, followed by another in February. Both times I got a faint positive on frer, but continuous negatives on anything less sensitive such as digitals, at 14 DPO then started bleeding 3 days later. The first was confirmed with blood tests at GP. After the 2nd I bled for 3.5 weeks straight and felt so poorly and had to be given hormones to stop the bleeding. This stopped just over 4 weeks ago. In this time I've had unprotected sex once.

I have no idea when my period is due.

On Sunday I got a faint positive on a frer again. I'm still showing as negative on anything less sensitive and suspect I'm heading for another chemical as the signs are the same as the two previous.

Has anyone had this previously? Does anyone know what causes it? I'm currently working nights and can't sleep thinking about it. I'm so sick of just waiting around for my body to fail again.

Sorry to hear this.

I'm 38 and being ttc for 8 months.

Has 2 early 'chemical' miscarriages. I used First Response also.

I asked my doctor to do a test for level of anticardiolipins (ideally it should be under 10 if you do this test). My results were more than 10.

The doctor is now referring me to fertility clinic, thinks I may have APS Hughes Syndrome (sticky/clotty blood which causes miscarriages).

Lots of women are told to take low dose aspirin like 70-80 mg daily as it can prevent recurrent miscarriages?? So I now take aspirin every day and fingers crossed for third pregnancy staying.....

I asked about this as my first was born prematurely at 27 weeks due to a huge blood clot (12 cm) on my placenta which formed very quickly.

My GP will not do the test and will only refer me after 3 chemicals, so at least when it happens I should get my referral.

I've heard the aspirin thing before - think I will give it a try.

Thanks for replying - fingers crossed for your third sticking as well!
