Short withdrawal bleed following missed pills....

Hello, new here and although not actively trying to conceive I'm hoping for some advice Smile

Last month I stupidly managed to start my pill 7 days late following on from my 7 day break. In that same month, I also missed 2 pills in a row on week 2 followed by 3 pills in week 3. During this time myself and OH were having regular sex.

Upon finishing my pill packet, my withdrawal bleed was a day later than planned and surprisingly it was over within a day (normally lasts 5). Although I did have some bright red blood (sorry TMI!) there was no clotting etc.

For the last week I've been feeling generally sick and experiencing stomach cramps but have always read that any withdrawal bleed at all means no pregnancy. Can anyone shed some light please?

Intend on buying a test tonight but just thought I'd ask in the meantime to see if anyone else has had a similar experience

Did you take extra precautions at the times you missed pills/were late taking them? If not, then there is a possibility of pregnancy

A withdrawal bleed is not an indication of non-pregnancy as it is just a reaction to the drop in hormones. I would take a pregnancy test

Thanks for the info, always assumed any sort of period/withdrawal bleed meant a definite negative. We didn't take any extra precautions so in view of what you've said, I will definitely be testing tonight.
