Brown discharge one hour after BFP

We've been TTC DC1 for a few months. I'd taken a few early ultra-sensitive tests (including a FRER) last week, which were all negative. Period was due yesterday but didn't bother doing a test due to all the earlier negatives. My husband asked me to do a test this morning. So I did a cheapy to humour him, to my surprise I thought there was a very faint line. I wanted to do a digital but husband thought it would be a waste as he thought the line was too faint. Anyway, I did the digital - pregnant 1-2 weeks. All very exciting and we had a happy hour working out dates etc.

Then I went to the loo and had a tiny (and I mean tiny) amount of dark brown discharge on wiping. I don't think I'm in any pain, but my mind is now playing tricks on me!

I worried because of the discharge, and because the supersensitive tests and FRER were all negative when they should have been positive. Also I have no pregnancy symptoms.

Can anyone more experienced than me offer any reassurance?

I had bright red spotting immediately after getting a positive test - dd2 is currently brushing my hair with a klippit.
I also had red spotting and brown discharge with dd1.
How many weeks are you? With dd1 I ended up going for an early scan at epu due to the spotting, I think I waited til about 7 weeks as I thought they'd be able to see more and tell me more.
I think most epu' will see you once you are past 6 weeks.

If you're really early on 5/6 weeks you probably won't be getting many symptoms just yet.

Just 4 weeks today. Period due today/yesterday. So very very early...
Would love to have an early scan but we are going on holiday at the 7 week mark so I think I will just wait until we can come back. If it sticks that long!

I had brown discharge after having a positive pregnancy test, it later turned into bright red bleeding like a (light) period but DD arrived safe and well and is 15 months old now. I bled on and off throughout the pregnancy and never found out why.

Just hold on in there and maybe do another test in a few days? Hope everything works out for you.

Thank you for the reassuring messages. Hopefully it will all work out. I'm an HCP and have seen too much of the bad side of pregnancy - not sure I'll ever be able to fully relax!

It is most likely implantation. Congratulations Flowers

Is your husband also a HCP? Smile he knows a lot more about HPTs than mine does! Grin

Congratulations!! I agree with pp, sounds like it could be implantation bleeding. Wishing you a happy and uneventful pregnancy!
