WWYD - treatment or wait?

I'm really looking for some wise advice here, ladies. I just don't know what to do for the best and would welcome any thoughts or opinions gratefully...

DC1 was conceived quickly and without incident. He's 3 now. We've been trying for DC2 for a year now with no joy whatsoever. We've recently both been checked out and there are no obvious problems. Sperm count and motility normal, good egg reserve, tubes clear, seem to be ovulating no problem.

This is my second cycle of Clomid. Whilst everything seems to be happening naturally, this is designed just to be a bit of a 'boost' to help us along. However, what do we do if the next cycle or two don't work?

Should we just continue to keep trying naturally on the basis that actually everything is fine, we've done it once and it will happen eventually or should we continue down the path of treatments (next in line being IUI). Treatment would be private and we can afford to do it within reason. Would you do other things first like maybe acupuncture?

I don't want to add to our stress by upping the ante unnecessarily. On the other hand, the age increase between DS and this fictional second baby is increasing all the time and we're not getting any younger. I'm 36 and DH is 43.

WWYD?

Hmmm, that's tricky, and I would say it depends on how you feel about some pretty invasive and intensive medical procedures. I've had IUI and I hated the whole thing and found it enormously stressful. So, for me personally, if I knew there was no specific problem, as demonstrated by having already had a baby and having had preliminary checks, I would probably wait a bit longer. But it's such a personal thing.

Good luck, whatever you decide.
