I thought I'd ovulated at the weekend but cm never dried up- I take it I've not ovulated or having an avolulatoru cycle? Or can you have ewcm after ovulation? Thanks.

I always seem to get it for a while after OV. I know people say you can't and you mustn't have OVed but the same happened the month I conceived so I beg to differ!

Thanks sunny. Wish I'd temped this month so I knew what was going on! I'm trying to remember what happened with DS1 and I think it carried on past conception as I remember seeing it later and thinking I'd miss timed sex.
Everything I've read seems to say you don't get it after ovulation. Confusing!

Yeah I've googled it a few times wondering why I was still getting it. It is strange. I temped when I was trying for DS but don't think I will this time round unless it takes a long time to conceive. I was having really irregular periods then after coming off the pill so it really helped with my stressing!

How old is your DS?

I've liked it up lots too- generally pretty irregular cycles. DS is 11 months, how old is yours?

This happened to me last cycle. I'd had IUI on the day I'd thought I'd ovulated but then the EWCM had continued for another six days. I thought I must have got it wrong and that my LH surge must have been out of kilter and that I'd thrown a horrible amount of money down the drain getting insemination at the wrong time, but then I did get a BFP.

So all is not lost!

He's nearly 15 months. We aren't TTC yet, waiting until June. Have you been trying for long?

Congratulations on your bfp INeedNewShoes

Thanks *newshoes' and congratulations on the BFP! How far along are you?
First cycle really, meant to be 'relax and we'll see' approach to ttc but of course now there is a possibility of pregnancy it's hard to think like that! Not desperate yet to conceive though

I'm only 5.5 and due a scan at the early pregnancy unit on Monday as I've had a little bit of bleeding, so I'm not counting my chickens yet!

Good luck to everyone else ttc. It seems to be a game of patience!

Hope everything is alright at your scan newshoes

Yeah I think I'll be the same, it's hard work to forget about it whilst you're trying isn't it. Did you conceive your DS easily? How are you feeling about having two?!

I hope everything is ok newshoes. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

It took 10 months to conceive first time round so in the grand scheme of things not too long but at the time it felt like a lifetime! Such a roller coaster of emotions. I'll admit the prospect of potentially two under two is slightly terrifying and now DS sleeps through it's the lack of sleep I'm scared of! But if I'm lucky enough to conceive and have a healthy baby I'll be grateful!

Oh yeah so true. Our DS sleeps through the vast majority of the time now so we are remembering what life was like when we weren't tired all the time too! It's definitely scary thinking of going back there! Do you just want two children or more?

Erm about 5 months but I'd just come off the pill and my periods were all over. Some months I didn't have one and some months I spotted on and off all month so I didn't have a chance to get pregnant those months I don't think. Then my periods went back to normal and the next month I got pregnant. Most people I know in RL got pregnant easier the second time round, but looking on here it's not always the case. Fingers crossed though!

Yeah me too! Are you working?

INeedNewShoes · 04/04/2016 15:21

Thanks for the good wishes. The scan showed a yolk sac measuring 5 weeks (should be six) and nothing else visible.

So the waiting game continues. I'll be scanned again in a couple of weeks' time and can only cross my fingers that they find a foetus then.

Report
Blondie87 · 04/04/2016 19:08

I'm not sure what 6 week scan is meant to find but hopefully there will be a foetus there when you're next scanned. I hope you're ok, I'm sure the wait is hard.

sunny I've gone back to work PT which for me is going well. Do you work?

SunnyDays1987 · 06/04/2016 12:11

It's probably quite early to tell at 6 weeks, hope you get a better answer at your next scan, the waiting must be really hard.

I'm at SAHM. I was full time before having DS but I didn't have the option to go back part time so ended up not going back. How long until you can test?!

Blondie87 · 06/04/2016 18:06

How are you finding being a sahm?
Because I'm not sure when I ovulated I don't know! I'm trying so hard not to cave and test- going to try and wait until the weekend at the earliest? I have irregular cycles which makes it harder to work out exactly.

It's hard at times but sometimes I love it! I don't think I'd be any happier at work. Ah yeah that's a pain. What lengths do your cycles vary between? Have you web tracking ovulation at all?

It's such a personal decison about whether to work/stay at home and you have to do what's right for your family. I admire sahms and full time working mums!
Cycles go from 28-42 days! If I ov'd it was sometime last week so we shall see...

Yeah I think being a Mum in general isn't easy so I have full respect for however you decide to do it!

I think it's probably easier to temp when you don't have another kid, if you do have to get up in the night or much earlier than usual or something it's supposed to throw it off. Hopefully you'll not need to! I had a 42 day cycle the one before last, absolutely no idea why but very annoying! Really hope you get your BFP soon, have you bought some tests or are you going to wait until you need one?
