Hi folks another month another trying for baby...
I from my app was due to ovulate on Friday - from clear blue (not advanced test). On Saturday I had pain in ovaries and took the same test and got a smiley face.
I DTD two nights before that and the night before the smiley (we had make up deed)
But from a smiley face this am I now have a non smiley - what does that mean??
Help would be great xoxo

I think with CB you're supposed to stop testing when you get a static smiley as it isn't accurate until it picks up the lack of LH in your next cycle.

So if you had a static smiley you can ignore everything after that and assume you OVd 12-24 hours later.

If you had flashing faces but no LH surge and static then it's pretty common and could mean no surge or an inaccurate result.

Ooh and don't forget OV pain happens only on one side and alternates each month so worth keeping track of which side it happens on so you can tell each month if it's likely to be OV pain or not.

I got my OV twinges 24 hours after my static smiley this month.

Hi MummBex - this isn't the advanced Clear Blue test I am using it is the normal pink one so I don't get flashing faces just a static smily face yesterday morning but a clear circle last night.
I DTD the three nights before and last night.
I am just worried I missed my surge xox

Oh sorry! I so get confused with all the brand choices lol.

Sperm lives for up to five days so there's a pretty big window, you may also be fertile for a short period after OV too so sounds like you should be ok.

Best advice I have is to put the pissy sticks down after a positive test to avoid worrying. Smile

I just tested with my morning pee and smiley face! Thinking that yesterday evenings was too diluted as I drink loads of water xo
