Pregnant or not?

Hi Smile.

I'm a little confused if I am pregnant or not... I am 7 days late for AF and have taken numerous tests over the last week - all different brands.

I have got a few negatives over the week but then had a faint positive. I waited until this morning before taking another and first one (a £1 one) was negative.i then took a morrisons own one later this morning and that was a faint positive.

I really don't know what to think now. I can't get hold of my doctors (they're a nightmare to get through to) so don't know what to do next. It's driving me crazy!

What's your thoughts?

At this stage all your doctor will do is a pregnancy test the same as the home pregnancy tests.

You are either pregnant and it's far too early, pregnant and it's a chemical/non-viable pregnancy or not pregnant and your period is late (possible delayed ovulation or an anovulatory cycle).

The faint lines, did they come up straight away?

I think you all you can really do is wait for a few days and test again. Just keep an eye on how you're feeling/any pain or unusual discharge as occasionally a mixture of pos and neg tests can be a sign of an ectopic.

Good luck.

The lines didn't come up immediately but within the 3 mins and they're clearly pink so not shadow or evap lines from what I can tell.

I have a very regular 28day cycle and only time I've ever been late is pregnancy. Every time I got a negative test I said that I'm not convinced but I really don't know what to thinkHmm

Thank you for your reply Smile

It's frustrating isn't it?

I've had it go both ways with that mix of pos/neg tests. First time it happened, the pregnancy wasn't viable. Second time, everything was fine, just lower levels of hcg and diluted urine. Tests became clearly positive every time over a period of a few days.

Positive tests in the indicated time does show that they are picking up hcg so something is happening right now. Hopefully, whatever it is continues into a happy and healthy pregnancy.

It really is frustrating!

I've had 4 miscarriages out of 6 pregnancies so can't control the anxiety I feel when I first fall pregnant. And not knowing means I'm unsure if I need to worry or not!

I start my new job tomorrow and don't want to go in with a hectic mind.

What pregnancy tests did you use? All but one of my negatives were on £1 ones so do you think it could be that too?
