Hi All,

Second cycle ttc#2 (dd 3). Fell pregnant very quickly with first DD and prior to that (and immediately PP) been on BC.

Both months when I have predicted ovulation I've experienced a dull pelvic ache with shooting pains. Sex is uncomfortable at this time and I feel like I'm in need of a number 2 throughout. I feel nauseated and tired. This has lasted 2 days- should ovulate today according to calendar.

I thought last month was a blip but it's the same this month too.

Is this normal???

TIA xxx

Sounds entirely normal for ovulation to me.

I now regularly get a sharp pain in one side (alternating each month). Which lasts maybe 8 hours and is bad enough to need paracetamol, mid way through my cycle. I assume this is ovulation pain. I never had it before dd, but I guess our bodies change over time. Read up about ovulation pain, and it's fairly common, though seems to vary a lot in nature and severity. My mom tells me she always had it, and that she used it as a form of family planning!

Thanks very much. I've never had it before either. It was the length of time it lasted that bothered me but you've put my mind at rest xxx
