EWCM 2-3 days before temp dip/rise

Hey all,

I started temping around 3 months ago and every month the same odd pattern occurs.

I get my proper EWCM on one day, and then my temp dip/temp rise is not until 2-3 days after. Fertility Friend then puts the OV day on the temp dip day. But I feel like I ovulate on the EWCM day. I get a pulling type pain which I always associated with OV.

Unsure what's going on really! Any advice appreciated.

Do you mean that it dries up and then you get the temperature rise?

Yes, sorry! I get my maximum egg white, it dries up, and then the temps dip & rise. FF then estimates my ov at 2-3 days later than I felt it to be.

Have you tried an ov predictor kit along side the charting to see when your LH surge is?

No but before I started charting I used to do an opk on the ewcm day and get a positive. I will try that next time I think, good plan! Does the temp sometimes take a day or so to rise, could that be where the miscalculation is coming from?

will be watching this thread! Had EWCM & Positive OPK Friday and Saturday, brown spotting Saturday morning but only slight rise Sunday morning and dried up completely. Today temp is lowest it's ever been this cycle so a bit confused...

Ok, I read on babycentre that it can take a few days for your prog to rise enough to affect your temp. Maybe that's it then?

That's good to know. More EWCM for me today & VERY up for it so think mines still on its way!
