Delayed ovulation...stop Pregnacare and start soy? Help!

Hello everyone - I am just after some advice please.

So, I have been taking Pregnacare for four months (three cycles) and have noticed that my ovulation date is getting later each cycle and that is therefore making my overall cycle length longer. I have read loads about how Pregnacare can be the cause of ovulation delay, and think that surely as so many women have found the same thing and then find their ovulation returns to normal after stopping taking it, this can't be a coincidence in every case? Confused

This cycle I didn't ovulate until CD21/22 which I am concerned by although I am aware that this could just be my body still settling down after the pill. If I don't get a BFP this week I am considering either four options:

a) Try one more month to see if the same thing happens
b) Stop Pregnacare altogether and just take folic acid
b) Stop Pregnacare altogether and just take folic acid and start soy to see if that brings ovulation forward
c) Take Pregnacare and soy together to see if ovulation is brought forward whilst still getting extra vitamins that I can't always guarantee I get due to lack of variety as we live outside UK.

Has anyone tried taking Pregnacare and soy together? Could this be harmful?

What would you all do?! Feeling confused...

I decided to take pregnacare this month and I ovulated two days earlier I normally do, I am going to keep going with it and see what happens

I'd not take to soy until you've ruled out the pregnacare option. Maybe give folic acid only a go? Or don't take pegna care everyday? Treat it like a science experiment, rule out one option at a time until you find the solution that works? Good luck.

I had a similar experience around the same time I was taking Pregnacare. I don't know if it was related though.

My cycle has come back to normal through taking Wellwoman Original topped up with 1000 mg Starflower Oil in the first two weeks before ovulation. WW has folic acid in it as well.

Thanks ladies...

Hair that is a good suggestion not to take it everyday and take just folic acid on days between.

This pregnancy game is all a bit trial and error isn't it?!! Grin
