Hello everyone Smile
I am completely new to this. I tried for 5 years to conceive my little boy and was successful after 2 rounds of ICSI. I am currently at uni and have chosen to do my dissertation on IVF and the mothers bond. I have chosen this as its a subject very close to my heart and over the years I think I googled and read most articles. Anyway I wondered if any of you who had successful IVF/ICSI and went on to have a child (or 2,3) could spend a few mins filling out a quick questionnaire for me?
Thanks

Vicky

I cant upload the file so will copy and paste below. My email address is

[email protected] or I will follow this thread for anyone who wishes to copy their answers below

To Whom this May Concern,

My name is Vicky and I am undertaking a research project on the bond between a mother who has undergone IVF and her baby, this is a requirement for my final year of my Early Years Honours degree that I am currently studying. I would like very much to include you.

My research project will involve questionnaires in which you are to complete and return to me, from the questionnaires I will ask 4 participants to partake in an interview, all your responses will remain anonymous throughout the research process. The finished project will be shared with my supervisor and her fellow markers from the university, the External Examiner and possibly a website which supports mother’s who have been or are going through IVF.

The Centre for Education Studies requires all students to submit their proposed research for ethical approval to my supervisor, and my proposal, described above, will be approved by him/her. I also have, as required by the Centre, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. I hope this will reassure you that my work will be carried out in a way which ensures that no participant will suffer any damage from the research and that all participants can ask for any information and can ask to be withdrawn from the research at any point. If you wish to have more information, please contact me, using my contact details ([email protected]), or Course Director, Elizabeth Coates, ([email protected]) who is responsible for my work on this module.

I would be grateful if you would be willing to participate in this research project and look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Yours sincerely,

Vicky Hartley
Early Years Teacher
