Judging by how my body feels think I'll be starting the new year on my first lot of chlomid. Has anyone got any advice or am I about to turn into a monster?

I haven't got any advice, but I am also due to start it in the new year...if you want a buddy to share with!

Hello
Breeble that would be lovely. AF came this morning right on schedule so take my first tablets tomorrow.

Good luck

It's always a bummer when it arrives isn't it...when mine comes I try to treat myself to some of the things I love but won't be able to do when pregnant - big glass of wine (or two! (or three!)), hot sauna, soft cheeses that sort of thing. It helps soften the blow and reminds me there are other things to enjoy too.

How long have you been trying for? We are just under a year, I just don't really ovulate, or it comes too late to be 'viable' (!) although there is no particular reason for it, so hopefully the chlomid will just kick start things for us.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you this month - let us know how you go (and how bad the side effects are so I can be prepared!). If you want to talk feel free to PM me too, I know how lonely and frustrating this all is! xx

I didn't notice any difference when I was on it so you may be ok! DD was second cycle so good luck.

There's a whole thread dedicated to Clomid on the infertility board with people who can give you loads of experiences and advice. I started my first round of Clomid about this time 2 years ago and now have a lovely almost 15 month old. Good luck!

Forgot to say, I got a few headaches and hot flushes. People recommend to take them at night so you can sleep through any side effects.

I conceived my now 20 year old on my first month of trying with chlomid. I later tried it again to conceive but it wasn't successful (although different treatment was). I don't remember any side affects. I've got PCOS.
