I just need some words of encouragement really. AF just turned up again and I feel utterly utterly devastated. We've been trying for over a year and every time feels like the end of the world. I feel like I am constantly trying to hold back the tears. If I even let myself think about it for more than a second I am inconsolable. Why does it have to be so hard? How upset is a normal amount of upset? I am completely gutted. Sad

Don't want to read and run. I completely understand and feel the same every month af shows up. I've thrown a full on "it's not fair" tantrum before now. We've been trying since last December so nearly a year. It's perfectly normal (I hope) to get upset about it. I deal with it now by doing things that I wouldn't be able to do if I was pregnant as soon as af shows up. It helps a bit and my body is my own until ovulation iykwim.

Hello,

So, so sorry to hear this. Ttc is so hard isn't it?

If it has been over a year then you can go to your gp for help.

You could also join the buses, there is so much support on there. This one is called Pregvember (November) - we would love you too join us. We may be trying something you haven't tried yet?

You are not the only one that feels this way, and I know that is no consolation, but I just wanted you to know that you're not alone! I am very emotional every month AF arrives too.

Have you had any tests or referals? As it's been over a year you would be entitled to these via your GP. Is there anything you can do on a monthly basis to help you feel more in control of the situation? By means of OPKs, temping, vitamins or suppliments? Are you TTC no.1?

Thank you so much for replying. I do that too! I had seafood and a cocktail last night!

If I'm honest, I feel like I'm not coping. But there is nothing I can do about it. I have a DS already and my GP's response when I've mentioned how I feel is that there's nothing the NHS can do.

I don't know what is a normal level of upset, but this feel all-consuming. I can't enjoy anything at the moment.

Quite the pity party over here!Sad

Hey op. I'm pretty much the same as you.. ttc 16 mo now.. already have one child. I'm currently going through a mc which, has broke me. I feel lost and alone. Like I need someone professional to help me through but there's no one for us.

I so hope you get your bfp, and a healthy pregnancy and baby soon.

For me it's thrown up lots of uncertain and unexpected feelings and it's taking me time to work through them.. pp mentioned jumping on the bus threads. I agree.. its a great release to talk to others x

I'm so sorry to hear that Rainbows. I hope you are ok and life gets better for you soon. I joined the November bus, but I agree that it is hard to find real life support.

I got my AF this time and I actually felt terrible. SO bad. Nobody understands irl and my DH is finding it increasingly difficult to be supportive, so I just try to hide the worst of it from him.

Feeling a bit better now though. Less like my life is over. It was like this last time. Once the BFP arrived all the months of agony got forgotten. I remember now though!

Hmmm... 'nothing the NHS can do' - sounds like bollocks!

You could try speaking to a different doctor at the surgery if you don't want to go back to the same one. Ask about how long you need to have been trying before you are eligible for help. Ask what information they will need from you, so you can start gathering it now. Ask what the procedure would be if you do reach their deadline for help.

Most importantly: ask for help with how you are feeling at the moment. You sound like you are struggling and there is help available, you just need to ask for it.

Best of luck to you.
