(faint) BFP then bleeding

I'm so confused as to what's going on here: got a very faint BFP on Thursday morning. Decided not to test again until today so as not to drive myself mad. Woke up this morning and started bleeding and cramping shortly after. Thing is that there's just enough blood to make me think that it's more than an implantation bleed, but normally if I'm this crampy I'm having a really heavy period and that isn't what's happening.

I don't really know what's happening - I've felt sick and exhausted since Tuesday and I've been pregnant once before so I know how I felt last time! I don't really want to test again as it feels like peeing on money at this point but if doing so would give me a definitive yes/no... argh! Help!

Commander, sorry to hear that you're bleeding. How bad are your cramps? Sometimes it can be the embryo getting a better grip, so I was told. Unfortunately for me it was yet another MC but try not to panic yet. Are you passing clots?

Not doubling over in pain but I'm very aware of them; just on the edge of wanting to take something for them.

Not seen any clots; total bleed so far is about 2-3ml (thanks mooncup!. There's quite a lot of clear mucus tinged with blood as well as blood-blood. Pain is all in the front of my abdomen, not my back. Started bleeding at about 9.30 and am still doing so.

If this wasn't meant to be it's okay as it's only our first proper go at DC2 but I'm second-guessing myself about that BFP!

Hmmm you don't get a false positive but mine were so faint I wondered if if was an evaporation line. They weren't but they were so light. I hope it all works out ok for you.

I think that hormone levels would mean you'd test positive even if you are having an early MC, so you're probably right that testing isn't going to give you any resolution.

Exactly the same here - it was a Tesco test and came up at about 9 minutes but it was so faint that in some lights I couldn't see it. Hmm. I guess there's no point in worrying and what will be will be, but I'm looking forward to a nice warm bath to ease the cramps!

Good idea. A couple of paracetamol may not go amiss either. My MW always encouraged me to if I needed them. Thanks
