Opk help

This is our first proper cycle ttc#1 after my copper coil removal last month. I'm on day 10 of my cycle, which is usually 32 days long.
I'm trying to get to grips with ic opk's. I've been testing every day since cycle day 5. I've had no line at all on any of the tests apart from yesterday where there was a clear, dark pink line. I've just tested today and back to no line at all??
Does anyone have experience of this happening? Is it possible to have more than one surge, or do you think that's it for this cycle? I sort assumed I'd ovulate much later in the month than this.
I've started to track temperature, but only for a few days so the chart isn't really readable at this stage.
Has anyone got any ideas or advice? TIA

Hi Frolicacid, I'd say your peak is right, it could be up to 36 hours that you actually ovulate I think an day 9/10 isn't actually that early.

Great news that you OV, that's really good. Have you been DTD?

FX for you!

Thanks Elba!
I'm just surprised as ovulating now will mean a 22 day luetal phase, which I think is pretty unusual. And I haven't had any pains or ewcm, which I usually get around day 19.
It's all so confusing isn't it?
We have been dtd over the weekend. I think it's going to be a case of carrying on as much as we can! If I did ovulate today, it's going to be a bloody long two three week wait!

I've just started using OPKs (Clear Blue digital one) and had a peak reading on CD 12 so we got down to business as it were. I then had some period type pains on CD16 so used another OPK and had another peak reading. After some time with Dr Google it turns out that apparently you can have more than 1 surge in a cycle. Your body can get ready to ovulate then not follow through. It's supposed to be the last surge that's the one that counts. So if I were you I'd keep on testing to see if you get another surge.

My second surge/peak reading was accompanied by EWCM which is another definite sign for me that I'm ovulating.

Good luck!

Thank you goodbye. The more I look into this, the more I realise it isn't an exact science at all is it?! if I wasn't such a control freak I'd be binning the thermometer and opk's .

My surge tends to be very quick, so I can test one day and it's there but it's back to being non existent the next day. I've also never tested positive in the morning except for on the clearblue dual hormone test which I tried this month. The odd thing about this was that I got a positive OPK a few days before on a different kind of clearblue test. So, I do think it's possible to have more than one surge but the OPK testing is really confusing me. To make things just a bit more confusing, my OPK test matched my app and my dual hormone one was only a day or so out but my actual symptoms are happening now - on cd25 which is a whole week out. I know I should trust my body more than technology, but how do I argue with an OPK? I ran out and was too stubborn to buy more this months, I'm just going to try it again next month and see what happens. Next month I'll know whether to trust the OPK or my symptoms, assuming I actually ov'd there is no way we could have missed it this month!

I'm a control freak too.
