Chemical pregnancy - any experiences?

I think I have had a chemical pregnancy and am just feeling a little fragile and disappointed. I had a faint positive for 3 days and was hopeful and happy, we have been trying for a second for 2 years with an 11week miscarriage last October.

Anyone with anything to offer?

Just some sympathy, Pickle. I'm really sorry to hear you've had to go through all that. I've had two CPs (trying for 18 months) and they were both devastating because we've been trying to so long and were so happy when we got the BFPs.

I don't know if you want some more "practical" input but after the first, AF arrived 28 days after the bleeding started, so right on cue as though it was a normal cycle, and after the second, so far AF is 8 days late though I do have symptoms that it's on its way. I have no idea why AF is late this time and not the first time, but it could be stress (I recently started a new job) or it could just be the weird inexplicable randomness that seems to surround everything to do with TTC. Oh, and the first one was pretty painful (bad cramps) whereas the second one wasn't painful at all. For both I had a couple of positive HPTs a few days apart (for the first CP they were fainter than the second time), then the HPTs were negative after the bleeding started.

Anyway I can totally understand why you're feeling fragile and disappointed. I'm really sorry. I hope you can have a relaxing afternoon and give yourself some TLC. Fingers crossed for next time x
