19 DPO, 4 days late, recently diagnosed with PCOS, BFN

Hi mums,
I am 21 years old and myself and my fiance have been TTC baby #1 for little over 1 year with no luck,
2 months ago we decided to go and speak to our doctor who took a blood test from me and found out I had high levels of the male hormone testosterone. The doctor explained to me that I had PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) where small cysts grow on the ovaries resulting in irregular/ no ovulation.
The doctor says because I have PCOS it makes it harder for me to naturally conceive although it is not impossible
I have a regular 44 day cycle (give or take 2 days).
I am now 4 days late showing a couple of pregnancy symptoms such as severe bloating (I went up 2 dress sizes for over a week although I am now back to normal)
Fatigue/Exhaustion (I had an afternoon nap every day for 4 days and constantly feel tired or my eyes feel really heavy but then all of a sudden I get a burst of energy and then become exhausted again)
sore boobs (now i have read up on this and they are not tingling or swollen or tender but the breast muscle feels stiff, full and heavy this carried on for little over a week and yesterday I woke up feeling normal again)
and finally spotting 5 DPO I went to the bathroom and when I was wiping I noticed this dark brown coloring on the tissue paper, I thought it was the start of my period but when I went to the toilet a couple of hours later I seen nothing this continued for 2 days I didn't have to use a tampon or sanitary towel it just appeared while wiping after going to the bathroom every couple of hours .... (I usually have a 7 day long heavy period I need to wear a tampon and 2 sanitary towels TMI)
ohhh and I have been using the bathroom more often only the past 3 days so this might be a physiological thing but i can be fine one second then all of a sudden I need to go to the bathroom, my bladder doesn't feel full but when I'm on the toilet I seem to pee for ages.

anyway im now 19 DPO (4 days late) and I've just taken a PT @ 6:35pm Friday August 22nd and it was negative
if i am pregnant i would be 4 weeks and 3 days gone

Could i still be pregnant or is this just other PCOS symptoms :) :(

I would try another test with your FMU tomorrow or Sunday.

are you absolutely sure you ov'd 19 days ago? if yes and you're still getting negative tests then I'd be starting to think it's unlikely you're pregnant.

I know the feeling so well, I have very irregular periods and every single time I mistake my sore boobs and bloated stomach as pregnancy signs when infact they're are signs my period is coming.

occasionally, some people don't get positive tests for quite a while after their period is due. so I wouldn't rule out pregnancy completely until AF arrives.

KeithTheCat i cant be 100% sure because i have PCOS it causes my period to be irregular although they are usually on time at 44 days it has never been more than 2 days early or 2 days late.
the doctor called me in on day 30 for blood tests (ovulation day) and when the results came back my testosterone was high the doctor said herself if my period doesnt show by sunday then test results were invalid or i could be pregnant it was just a waiting game.

In my family there is a history of false negatives my aunt thought she was pregnant in june 2013 took a test and it was negative she then got her period in the july and august and nothing in september she took a test in september negative again but thought nothing of it as she was on the pill but when her period didnt come in the october she took another test and it came back positive she went for a scan and found out she was 26 weeks gone that was a shock

the same thing happened to my cousin no signs of pregnancy at all had her peiod for 5 months then was at her friends when her boob started leaking she called my mum who asked her to take a pregnancy test and she got a positive.

its sooo irritating having PCOS because of this.
